Mr. Njoroge (popularly known as Njoro) will travel to Kenya today Wednesday to attend his mother’s funeral who passed away in Kenya after a short illness. On Sunday, Kenyans, friends and sympathizers gathered at a small hall in Skogås for a Memorial prayer meeting cum fund raising in solidarity with Mr. Njoro. A total of 20.000 kr was raised.
The function was presided over by Pastor Samson while Mrs Jacinter Njoroge (no direct family connection with the bereaved) presided over as the Mistress of ceremony. Several Kenyans attended the function including Mr. Laban Mberi, Pastor Jamlik Muritu, Mr. George Kinywa (a top Embassy official), Mr. Joseph Munene (also known as Man Nzoro active in Making A Difference (M.A.D), Mr. Dick Kamau (the Secretary General of Chama cha Mwananchi), Mr. Jeff Ole Ngais, Mrs Grace Nyambura (ODM-KS Treaurer), Mrs Hellen Opwapo (ODM-KS Chairperson), Mr. and Mrs Kinuthia, Mr. Keegan Kagwe (Chairperson of CCM Scandinavia), Ms Jane Karanja, Ms Susan Mukami (Kesofo Chairperson), Mrs Mary Kamuiru, Ms Grace Kamau, Mdosi Jeff, Mr. Nashon Mbugua (Narc-KS Committee member) among others.
The Committee that organized the function was led by its Chairperson Mr. Githuku wa Muirani. Speaking to KSB, Mr. Muirani thanked everybody who attended the function. The prayer meeting started at around 16.00 although Wakenya stayed around until late in the night.
Njoro’s mother was admitted at Nairobi hospital where she passed away. KSB hopes that Mr. Njoro together with the entire family will be able to cope with the situation during this difficult moment. We wish him a safe trip to Kenya.
