Kenyans in Stockholm will today celebrate “Kenya at 50” Jamhuri day celebrations at Keegan’s residence at Lördagsvägen 25 in Hökarängen to show solidarity with the fallen Keegan’s family. Speaking to KSB, Mr. Githuku wa Muirani, the Vice chairman of the Keegan Funeral Committee in Stockholm, said that all Kenyans and friends of Kenya are welcome at the residence.
So far, the Kenyan Embassy in Stockholm has planned nothing for the Kenyan community today. Mr. Muirani said that the decision to organize the event at Keegan’s residence was reached by the Keegan Committee and in continuation of the Keegan funds drive so that the target of SEK 80k can be reached. So far, the funds have climbed from SEK 73 to SEK 75k and the Committee is optimistic that the target will be reached.
