We guessed it right! Purity and hubby Muhindi were at Princess Victoria’s wedding and they were captured on camera. They were kept queuing for long hours as Queens, Kings, Princesses and Princes from other countries walked majestically inside the Church and later to the King’s palace. Predictably, our Ambassador and other Odiangabuks were kept away from TV cameras and their faces never appeared anywhere on the national TV screens, both at the church and at the reception at the King’s palace.
Purity is known to have a strong and powerful taste for “Top class” functions in town. She would rather miss a trip abroad to attend a dinner hosted by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The high profile wedding is exactly what fits into Purity’s idea of events worth attending. Although she could be treated with more respect at a Kenyan function where she is most likely to dine at the high table, she tends to ignore all Kenyan functions.
Purity believes that Kenya-Stockholm functions “are too low” for her attention and this bad attitude is partly responsible for her rejection among a cross section of the Kenya-Stockholm community who think that she may be suffering from inferiority complex. We wait and see whether she will attend a Kenyan wedding scheduled for 3rd of July t St Klara Church. It is notable that last July, she boycotted a Kenyan wedding while when a new Kenya-Stockholm wedding popped up in December last year, she went missing in action once again.
What is interesting is that at Prince Victoria’s wedding, Purity was donning the same worn-out Kitenge she has been swinging around in on several occasions. One would have expected her to fix a new Kitenge fit for the “Kingly wedding”. Could it be that she has given up on changing Vitenges, now that she is soon being recalled after her tour of duty ends in August?
Since her time at the Embassy is running out, Kenya-Stockholmers can only hope that any new Ambassador posted at the Embassy will not repeat Purity’s numerous mistakes which have seen her live a life of isolation from the Kenya-Stockholm community as she chases after white Swedish functions with passion.

This was really humiliating. Apart from being made to wait, they never even made it inside the church, leave alone the reception. I don’t understand why our ambassador has to bend this low. Much thanks to ksb for producing the evidence that Purity was just another spectator on the sidelines when she was supposed to be an invited guest representing the government!
Osewe huyu mama Purity is there anything she has done for Kenyans in Stockholm tangu aje? Just one good thing tujuwe? Nauliza coz if she is more interested in other foreign missions, basi arudi Kenya.
I guess as the Kenyan Ambassadour, she had to attend the function and represent her government. That’s one of the reasons we have an embassy there. However, she should be doing more to engage with Kenyans resident in Stockholm and the region in general. But then again, most of our diplomats aren’t quite cut out for the job. Don’t expect any better from her replacement.

Mama Purity got a taste of her own medicine having been left meters away from the high table.She thought this was going to be the best experience before being recalled hopefully this year.Amekiona kweli hata angemuacha baba watoto aji-enjoy na Tusker baridi at home watching the World Cup matches.It is time pia ageuze her vitenge wardrobe.
