A handful of Kenyan officials are currently in Sweden to attend the World Water Week in Stockholm. Officials who have so far been identified by Kenya Stockholm Blog are Mr. Kabando wa Kabando, an official of the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage System, Mr. Charles Kibaru, Mr. Michael Ngari and Mrs Wangari Muchiri, all working with Water related departments in Kenya.
Hon Mutua Katuku, the Minister of water, and Mr. Gakuhia, the Director of Water, are also part of the delegation which will be in Sweden until Saturday 26th August when they will leave for Kenya. The group has shown an interest in meeting the Kenyan community in Stockholm for an exchange of views and ideas on how to develop Kenya. Consultations are underway between the group and the Kenya Social Forum in Sweden (Kesofo) officials to find an appropriate day when the meeting can take place.
