ODM Candidate Thanks Supporters But Says Battle Has Just Began
This is to inform the general public and supporters alike that Mr. Robert Mosota Atei has been declared the ODM nominee of Magwagwa ward, North Mugirango constituency, Nyamira County. The decision was taken today, January 21st 2013 at Orange House in Nairobi in the presence of Mr. Stephen Nyakeriga, ODM Chairman in Nyamira County.
The decision was taken following a Petition filed by Mr. Mosota after Mr. Elias Keton, the ODM Returning Officer in Nyamira County, refused to give Mr. Mosota the Nomination Certificate for unknown reasons after Mr. Mosota won the ODM nomination. Instead, Mr. Keton recommended Benta Nyaoke (who came second) to be issued with the certificate.
Mr. Mosota is now set to collect his certificate from ODM’s Nyamira County Office tomorrow, January 22nd 2013 at 10.00 sharp.
Mr. Mosota would like to thank everybody who has been involved in his election campaign for the ODM nomination for Magwagwa ward. Likewise, Mr. Mosota would like to thank all supporters who have been providing moral and logistical support, both during the nomination campaign and the struggle to regain his victory at the nomination level after it was stolen by unscrupulous officials at ODM’s Nyamira County Office.
Most importantly, Mr. Mosota would like to thank all supporters in the Social Media who have kept the matter alive and who have been updating the international audience about events in Magwagwa County in relation to the ODM nominations especially in Facebook, Twitter and the Blogosphere.
Many thanks to the Mr. Stephen Nyakeriga, Chairman of ODM, Nyamira County, for his quick intervention to revert a wrong and undemocratic decision that could have greatly undermined the credibility of the Party in the event that the most popular candidate was not presented to the electorate for the seat of Councillor in Magwagwa County.
Lastly, Mr. Mosota would like to thank the ODM’s National Election Board at Orange House, Nairobi for having examined all the evidence related to the nomination process and declaring him the nominee for Magwagwa County as per the wishes of voters in Magwagwa County. The decision has further strengthened the democratic ideals ODM stands for and Mr. Mosota hopes that the Board will deliver justice in all pending cases.
Although it has been a long journey, Mr. Mosota’s view is that the battle has just begun. The ODM candidate appeals to all losers at the nomination level to join hands and support him so that ODM can emerge victorious in Magwagwa County.
There is no doubt that the nomination process has been hectic and rout with tension. However, Mr. Mosota would like to encourage all supporters and members of the Party to put aside petty differences and support his candidature. In any election process, there are always winners and losers. Let us all come together and concentrate on leading ODM to victory thereby opening the way for the rebuilding of Magwagwa County under the wise leadership of Councillor Robert Mosota Atei.

In as much as it is not my place to question ,or censure what is placed on this blog ,my problem is that once space has been availed and we regularly log on to read ,l am perturbed by the prominence this story is given.
Osewe is is this an example of what is at the root of the rot in ODM ,or is there more to it being one from Gussiland.

KSB: Good question Tonny. This case was brought to KSB by a concerned Kenya-Stockholmer and supporters on Facebook for intervention after the Mzee was robbed of victory simply because he had no way of getting his story across. KSB mainly focuses on Kenya-Stockholm issues but occasionally, the blog deviates and digs into Kenyan politics at any level. As Kenyans in Diaspora, it is our responsibility to try and correct the wrongs at home whenever possible. With KSB’s intervention through publicity, the Mzee has gotten back his victory and we consider mission accomplished. Now, a similar question to you.
You are deeply involved in Muirani’s planned peace mission in Kenya and you have been mobilizing Kenyans to attend the Stockholm function this coming weekend. KSB is giving the mission publicity as a matter of solidarity but what has this got to do with Kenyans in Stockholm? Can you explain to readers and KSB contributors alike? KSB has nothing against Muirani’s mission and this question is for you following the principles of “tit for tat”. Back to you Jatelo!
Ean Woud Luo is another failure in Sweden.Who is drinking from bar to bar like a barfly. KSB is a respected blog and in my opinion, I do not really see why it should not cover other events if such coverage will help in bringing peace and democracy in Kenya. I say well done KSB. I think such comments do not add anything in the struggle for democracy in kenya and should be ignored by positive thinking people.

Nice to now at least am recognized as a failure.But to anonymous folks who hide ,it is a welcome relief that they acknowledge one fact that l drink .What do they do .In any case how has my failure in Sweden got any thing to do with what Osewe has raised.How does one know that l drink from bar to bar without being with me in that bar hopping mode.
Coming to think of it ,What is the benchmark for success.Is looking after the old ,cleaning ,building fortresses we never live in, thumping chests without much ado because we managed to be in the glow of failures ,who prick the conscious of the successful.How does one quantify success.Material ,social,educational,there are limitless options ,that one can be successful in ,so please do your math.
Please for those who have made it give me advice so that l can pass it on to Mzalendo.

KSB: Tonny, no one is an authority on anybody in Stockholm and I do think that such a feat is impossible. You posed a question and it was my responsibility to give you an answer. As you observed, the nomination story has occupied a lot of space at KSB in the last few days. The coverage was out of solidarity and we are satisfied with the outcome. I will not talk for Mzalendo neither will I go into the issue he/she raised. The comment was approved under the banner of freedom of expression.
