A Kenyan woman who got stranded at Arlanda International Airport and who has been chilling at a Woman’s reception centre in Stockholm has mysteriously disappeared from the centre. The woman was deposited at the centre by a KSB agent after she raised alarm that a Kenyan who was to pick her up from the Airport after her arrival in Sweden had not showed up. When KSB arrived at Arlanda to check on her, she had been a resident at the airport’s floors for three days.
According to an official at the Women’s centre, the woman was picked up from the centre by an African male who also helped her carry her belongings. The official told KSB that the woman was picked up a day after she checked in last Thursday.
Asked whether she left any contact details if someone wanted to contact her, the official replied in the negative. The woman official said that when the Kenyan woman checked in at the centre, she was not under detention and that she was free to leave if she so wanted.
“She came and said that she was checking out and what we could do was to wish her good luck”, the official told KSB. She said that troubled women check in and out of the centre on a daily basis and that there was nothing strange when the woman said that she wanted to leave.
When scrutinized further, the official said that the Kenyan woman was picked up by a “middle-aged African male” who spoke Swedish. The Kenyan woman had told KSB that a Kenyan called “George Wainaina” was responsible for her trip to Sweden where, she said, she was to pursue further education at Stockholm University.
KSB believes that “George Wainaina” may have been the dude who picked her up after the story was splashed at the blog site. According to this theory, Wainaina may have read the story at KSB then switched on his phone to wait for contact. The woman may then have chanced by calling the phone and talked to Wainaina after which the Kenyan dude may have obtained the address of the centre before picking her up.
The KSB agent who discovered that the woman had gone missing had returned to the centre to follow up the story and to pick up the visa number after immigration officials asked for it to see how they could help track down the culprit.
Unfortunately, it appears as though Wainaina was a few steps ahead and quickly picked up the woman to cover up his tracks. Although the woman has a KSB contact number, she has not communicated since she was deposited at the centre. The story shocked many Kenyans in Stockholm.
