Mr. Daniel Mwaura and Mrs Jane Koikai Mwaura are back from Kenya after attending the funeral of Koikai’s mother who passed away due to illness. Speaking to KSB shortly after his arrival in Stockholm, Mr. Mwaura thanked Kenyans and friends who gathered at his residence in Alby about two weeks ago to condole with the family. During the Prayer meeting, Mr. Mwaura said that a record 45.000kr was raised in support of the family.
“I take this opportunity to thank all Kenyans and friends who joined us during the sad moment”, Mr. Mwaura told KSB. He said that Kenyans should continue with the same spirit of solidarity especially during difficult times. Mr. Mwaura travelled to Kenya together with his wife Koikai and their four children.
While in Kenya, Mr. Mwaura also attended the 10th Anniversary of the Phillis Memorial Home at Kampi ya Moto that is run by Mrs. Jacinter Njoroge, a progressive Kenya Stockholmer who has become the symbol of hope to several orphaned children who are housed at the Phillis Memorial Home. The event was also attended by Comedian Man Nzoro who is still in Kenya.
