Okoth Osewe: “There could be a lot of rhetoric about going back to an election but because in Kenya, politics is business, the MPs are already in business and for this reason, logic dictates that they will try to hold on to the coalition government as long as it takes and steer away from any crisis that may lead to the collapse of the coalition” – Stolen Presidency p.419 (November 2008).
Raila Odinga: “By accident, after a very bitter election in 2007 and similar past ones, we ended up with a government that offers the best opportunity to bring Kenyans together. It is my wish that we hold together until 2012. That will give us time to put in place measures that ensures we don’t witness what was seen in 2007” – Raila Odinga (February 28th 2009)
Okoth Osewe: “Most likely, the Grand Coalition will deliver a new Constitution to the Kenyan people, possibly before the end of 2009” – Stolen Presidency p. 420 (November 2008)
Raila Odinga: “A new constitution. That is the biggest reform we must achieve this year. Some people have been fighting for constitutional changes since the 1960s when the adulteration of our independence constitution began” – Raila Odinga (February 28th 2009)
Hi I’m a first time blogger if this is even a blog site. Here I speak as a kenyan not the kikuyu that I am and I would appreciate that other bloggers see me first as a kenyan.
Kibaki is quite simply put the worst possible excuse of a leader we as acountry have ever had.
I say that with pain because of an exhibiton I’ve just atttended potraying how bad the post election violence really was.
This sane mother fucker calls the post election violence “shida ndogo” which translates to as “small problem”
He has failed to feel the pain of the people he swore to serve he has failed to feel the pulse of a people crying for change for food for leadership for an end to his and other “big boys” impunity.
I say this with pain because at on e time Kibaki was the hero every kenyan hoped would save this country.
Let me say in conclusion
Fuck you Mr. President
Yours SINCERELY

Watching ‘Kenya: One Year One’ on CNN made me extremely angry because ordinary Kenyans are suffering under the current Coalition Government which has no sympathy for them.
The Government denies corruption, yet this has risen rapidly. Many Kenyans say the MPs are only concerned with themselves and never car about them.
The worst as usual, was the site of the internally displaced people (IDPs) who have been reduced to beggers. Kenya is a gone country.
I also watched Inside Africa on Kenya and the part about ‘Mama Amani’ showing the 67 year-old lady who was driven out of her farm in Rumuruti by marauding youth gangs moved me. She has nothing after all her property was torched.
It pains that this is the outcome of Kibaki’s theft of the 2007 presidential election.
It is a pity to our people in Kenya. We always have seen ourselves poor and undeveloped, but the 2008 saga has put us where we have always thought we were,i.e WE ARE WHAT WE THINK.
Now we should look deeper in our lives and ways and think better.E.g we think the government has power,no one can question them,we are wrong we can question it,it is our tax money that they get their pay from.We have employed them and our vote has seen them through to the parliament.Karua is Rutos rival, but she like any other kenyan should question Ruto about the maize issue he is doing. The cereal board is their for every kenyan, leader or not leader. Why should he (Ruto)buy all the maize? It is because of food shortage we have this cereal board not Ruto.
