The book, “Raila Odinga’s Stolen Presidency: Consequences and The Future of Kenya”, written by Mr. Okoth Osewe will be launched in Stockholm on Saturday January 31st 2009 at Tensta Kultur Kaffe located at Tenstasråket 13 from 15.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs. The venue is within the precincts of Tensta Library while the tube station is Tensta.
The “Raila Odinga Book Launch Committee” invites all Kenyans, friends and well wishers to the event where copies of the book will also be available. Mr. Okoth Osewe will give a presentation of the book, discuss it with the audience and sign autographs at the event. The book is already in circulation locally and Internationally.
After the Stockholm launch, the next task will be to launch the book in Kenya where it is needed more than anywhere else.
The book tackles the bungled December 2007 elections and takes the position that the Electoral Commission of Kenya rigged the Presidential election in favor of Mr. Mwai Kibaki who was later sworn in secretly as President at a hurriedly convened function at State House, Nairobi, opening the way for the post election crisis.
