It seems as if wife-battering is the new trend in Kenya-Stockholm. My fellow Kenyan ladies, let us debate this issue because there must be something wrong with many Kenyan couples if beating is the solution to problems.
Osewe, keep us informed as news comes in. Pastor Beatrice needs to lead prayers and a discussion through Voice of Women (VOW).
I feel disgusted as a woman after reading “Asiye Jua’s” comment that some people need a thorough beating. However, I agree with Betty that there are deeper problems among couples in our community.
I looked into KSB’s archives and saw that violence against women has always been recorded. I use the example on this link:

Let us remember the Kenya-Stockholm women who have suffered due to violence from their male partners, e.g.:
1. The late Julliet Kavinga who was killed by her former Swedish boyfriend.
2. The woman who was stoned to death by her Kenyan husband, who also later committed suicide in prison.
3. The woman who was recently beaten senseless by her Kenyan ex-husband and blogger, who also pretended to spread messages of peace and unity, but was a beast.
My Kenyan sistas:
I feel psychologically violeted while reading that fellow women are being molested in our Kenya-Stockholm community.
I was divorced from a Swedish man in 2007 and thought that meeting a Kenyan brother could change my love life. However, stories and comments on gender-based violence in our small community have scared me off, and I don’t know whether am ready to date a Kenyan bro. The Swedish man was not good to me because he had turned me into a toy for his desires in the bedroom. I am now in a dilemma after wasting so many years trusting him, yet he misused me.
I urge the Kenya-Stockholm women to stand firm against all forms of violence because they are better off alive. They should remember that they cannot help themselves after dying due to violence from male partners.
