A Kenyan national is being held in custody by Swedish police who are planning to charge him with several offences. The Kenyan is being suspected of rape, assault and taking away the freedom of a Swedish woman. The Kenyan, who is well known within the community, was cohabiting with the Swedish woman at the time he is alleged to have committed the crimes. The Kenyan moved in with the woman in October last year.
Police are still investigating the case and it is not clear when he will be taken to court. He has now been held for ten days. Information gathered by KSB indicate that the Kenyan is being held at a police station in Flemingsberg, Stockholm. Rape cases are taken very seriously in Sweden and could lead to years in prison and a fine of not less than 70.000 kr if found guilty. Within the Swedish law, one can be accused of raping a wife or girlfriend if the “articulation” lacks “mutual consent”.
In the meantime, a Kenyan is being sought by police after he beat up a fellow Kenyan at a pub in Alby. According to information gathered by KSB, trouble started after a Kenyan (who is a Mungiki supporter) disagreed with another Kenyan on the question of Kikuyu culture and the role of Mungiki in Kenya.
As the debate heated up, the Mungiki supporter started banging the table and lecturing his countryman on the significance of Mungiki and Kikuyu culture. The verbal exchange soon degenerated opening the way for fist cuffs. The Mungiki supporter had the upper hand in the exchange of blows and he reportedly hit his enemy with several rungu-like blows on the cheek and fore-head causing severe injuries which left his enemy’s face partly deformed.
It was one of the most serious fights to have been witnessed among Wakenya at the Alby pub and countrymen who were present are reported to have been physically shaken. The Mungiki supporter then told his opponent that he could eliminate him and flee to Amsterdam before police could arrive at the scene to begin their investigations. The Mungiki supporter is reported to have threatened to break up a bottle and chop another Kenyan who was trying to cool him down.
In another development, a Kenyan who attacked his countryman outside the ODM-KS Office on 19th May has not been found by police who have intensified their search. The police recorded statements from Wakenya who witnessed the attack and which saw the victim admitted to Söder Hospital with multiple injuries on the face. The victim was picked up from the scene of crime by an ambulance. Both the police and the ambulance arrived at the same time.
The attack on the Kenyan came barely weeks after a Kenyan businessman was beaten ruthlessly at a Party that had been organized by a group of Kenyans to entertain the youth. The Kenyan businessman left the scene “drenched in blood”. Follow-ups by KSB indicate that the incident is not a police case as no criminal charges were filed by any of the protagonists.
Before the incident, a potentially brutal attack between two Kenyans was nipped in the bud during a house Party in Vällingby. An eye witness told KSB that trouble started after a Kenyan accused his fellow countryman who was at the Party of “moving with his wife”. The “accused” protested and as the situation advanced towards an all out war, another Kenyan moved in between the two giants to cool tempers.
