Mama Phoebi Prayer Meeting – Funds Drive: Saturday, 8th July at Huddinge
Following the passing of Mama Phoebe Odhiambo Aroka, an ad-hoc “Family Support Committee” has been established in Stockholm. The Committee is headed by Mr. Frank Odhiambo assisted by Beryl Otumba (Secretary) and Mildrade Otieno (Treasurer). Three ordinary Committee members are also part of the team.
After its establishment, the Committee was tasked with co-ordination of a Prayer Meeting for the bereaved family as soon as possible and mobilization of friends, well-wishers and people of good-will for a Funds drive in solidarity with the Odhiambo family.
Consequently, the Committee has deliberated and decided that both the Prayer Meeting and the Funds drive will take place on Saturday, 8th July 2017 at Granbacken 13 in Huddinge from 14.00 hrs.
For direction on how to reach the venue: from Huddinge station, take bus 704 towards Fruängen and alight at Vänhemsvägen. Use google maps navigation system to get to Granbacken 13. In case of difficulty, call 0736160375 or 0739775556. Anyone intending to show up earlier due to some later commitment is cordially welcome.
Mourners who will be unable to attend the function can Swish their contributions to 072-330 38 36 and the account holder is Victon Aroka Odhiambo. Those swishing are kindly requested to include a swish-text message indicating their names for purposes of record-keeping and accountability.
A Bank account at SEB has also been availed for those who will be unable to use the Swish facility for some reason. The account number is 5694 0014454 (with the first four digits being the Clearing Number). The account holder is Mildrade Otieno, Committee Treasurer.
On behalf of the bereaved Aroka family, the Committee would like to thank everybody who has so far showed solidarity with the family by providing emotional and other support during this trying and very difficult moment.
