We the entire family of the late mzee Fanuel Raila Kombonya would like to clarify to all friends, relatives & well wishers that mzee never left a huge medical bill at any hospital & it’s our concern that news of big medical bills are circulating via your blog,we kindly request that the information be withdrawn as our Dad lived a honest life that we would like to be upheld even on issues about his funeral.

KSB: Eric, please, note that KSB is not the source of facts contained in this article. Any concerns should be directed to Jane Rabala who communicated the article content to KSB for publication. KSB believes that Jane acted in good faith to mobilize friends to condole with with your family at a time of bereavement. Further, note that a Report about the fund raising was submitted to KSB and will be published as soon as KSB staff returns from summer holidays. In the meantime, be aware that information in KSB’s custody is that all funds raised were wired to the bank account of Eunice Raila, your sister. We urge you not to read any malicious intent in the article on such a sensitive issue.

Your announcement that Mzee Fanuel Raila Kombonya left behind a huge hospital bill is wrong & currently causing embarrassment, agony & discomfort to his family, friends & relatives. The fundraising you are mobilising via your blog is also uncalled for & not part of the funeral arrangements for our dear Dad as he has already been laid to rest peacefully & we would want his soul to be left to rest in peace.

It was concluded a few days after it was initiated and, as stated, a Report submitted to KSB.
