As Kenyans in Stockholm are aware, a fresh “Final Push” Harambee has been called on Saturday, September 28th to help raise funds to transport the remains of the late Michael Osumba to Kenya. So far, SEK 37.775 has been raised while the cost of transporting the body stands at SEK 43.000. This means that SEK 5.250 is still needed plus another SEK 25-30k for tickets for the Osumba family to attend the funeral of their loved one.

Initially, the Michael Osumba Committee in Stockholm had announced that the Harambee will take place at Africa House but now, the Committee has decided to change the venue to Grumsgatan 4 in Farsta, the residence of Nancy Osumba.

The Committee has changed the venue to limit the amount of bankrolling necessary and to avoid unnecessary costs which might eat into final funds raised. If the event is held at Africa House, the cost of hosting it will be SEK 15k while if it is moved to Farsta, the cost will reduce to about SEK 5k. This means that the Committee will be saving about SEK 10 in expenses.

Once again, the Committee has appealed to all people of good will to turn up at this Harambee to help achieve the objective of transporting the late Osumba’s body to Kenya. The Harambee starts at 16.00 hrs.
