According to Mr. Clay Onyango, the Chairman of the Committee, the theme of the party will be “Thank You Very Much” following the successful mobilization of Kenyans and friends and the raising of enough cash to transport Millie’s body to Kenya for burial late last month. The Party takes place on Saturday, 13th July 2013 from 17.00 hrs.
The harambee raised more than 65,000SEK while apart from transportation of Millie’s body to Kenya, several friends also accompanied the body for burial in Kenya.
Club 1000, a group of Kenyans who believe that death related harambees could be solved easily by members contributing 1000SEK or more, played a big role in the success of the harambee.
Just before the harambee, several Kenyans contributed between 1000kr and 1500kr leading to a substantial amount of cash having been realized ahead of the main harambee. The Club is currently recruiting on Facebook although it is yet to come up with a clear blue-print on its modus operandi.

It has come to be proved ,unity in diversity always works when folks are focused.
Na hiyo ndio maendeleo.Club 1000 will be a a huge success not only for sorting out death related issues.It can morph into a serious club with more to offer .
Kudos Clay for bringing up the idea .Though am not in Stockholm ,my participation can be counted on.
