Awilo Longomba is an international award winning recording artist. He is also a producer and
humanitarian. Genre: afrobeats, soukous, ndombolo, rumba and techno. Awilo is not afraid to
experiment with different genre of music, for example the Swedish House Mafia remixes his
upcoming single.

Dj Ashman (Sound Killa) plays the latest and hottest music in Dancehall Reggae. Ashman has
been in music business for nearly 20 years arranging concerts, clubs, reggae shop Soundkilla and
radio programs; Reggae Attack and Metropol Club Dancehall.
Daniel “Nougie” Jadama with roots in West Africa was formerly the host of the cult radio
program “P3 Rhythm” and can occasionally still be heard on P3 and Metropol etc. Nougie plays
the absolute top African and Caribbean club selections that you haven’t heard anywhere else.
Dj Mike with his pan-African mix of Makossa, Coupe décalé, Ndombolo, Bongo Flava and
Naijapop is one of Stockholm’s most famous deejays in his genre with gigs all over the country.
Dj Floyd Dixon has worked as a promoter for many years and has also been deejaying at various
locations both nationally and internationally. Dixon is the man behind many concerts and has
booked major artists such as Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Movado, Serani, Dj Drama, Gyptian, Collie
Buddz and many more. Floyd has also arranged legendary nightclubs such as Sugar Hill, Buzz
Bar, Atmosphere, OMG and recently Plan B.
Dj Kiiing has dominated the 2012 Stockholm urban club scene in combination with him touring
with several of his 22 DJ’s as a part of Europe’s largest DJ collective Whiteboyfresh. In recent
years, Dj Kiiing has played at nightclubs like Café Opera, MVSEET, Slakthuset, Ljunggren, Ego,
Snaps, Sloppy Seconds, Bolero and El Corazon. Dj Kiing is also behind club concepts Play,
VSVP, Decibel, Torsdagsklubben, Castle, The Bedroom and DIP.
Blackout & Rebound dance crew is Sweden’s most established dancehall dance groups who also
have made a big name around the world. They often travel to Jamaica to learn the newest and
hottest dance moves as they assemble them into great shows and they always entertain their
audience to the maximum. You’ve seen them in several music videos including artists like:
Gyptian, Munga, Chi Ching Ching, Mavado, Jo Mersa Marley (Stephen Marley’s son), Rdx,
TOK, Charly Blacks, Beenie Man, Hollow Point, Mr. Vegas, I-Octane, Trist The Diva, Jr. Reid,
Versetile, Million Stylez, Panetoz, Stor, Dani M, Lapuma and many more.

Swedish African Community Prize
The Distinguished Community Prize recognizes exemplary effort, energy, dedication of an
individual or a group within their communities in activities like: Arts / Sports / Culture/
Entrepreneurship.
Among others to be honored at the occasion:
PANETOZ – for their African fusion style of music, which is a blend of hip, hop, half highlife
street party sound combined with Swedish lyrics that brings joy and pride to the African
community and others.
MBAZIIRA JOSEPH ( UGAMUZIKI RADIO ) – For running his online radio program that is
operated in the community, for the community and about the community .
DJ ASHMAN – The man behind legendary One Love Sound, Records Store, radio shows and
nightclub Soundkilla. His many years contribution to the community nightlife is second to none.
JEFFREY IGE – Jeffery Ige made his shot put debut at the London Paralympics 2012. This
ranked him 2nd in the world. He took the silver medal with a shock of 15.59 meters. This
exceptional athlete from Huddinge is 28 years old and Sweden’s best shot-putter in the
Paralympics.
