A Kenyan woman and a single mother of two, Lillian Wanjiru has died in Bolivia under mysterious circumstances. Lillian, 35 went to Bolivia South America in December last year and was only there for six months.
According to her brother, Leonard Njuguna, Lillian suffered a lot while there, one of her friends told them that she was arrested and detained in prison at Santa Cruz and while there, she became sick but was not taken to hospital. Sometime last week, she started complaining of severe headaches and later became paralyzed on one side. The police took her to hospital where the doctors discovered that her brain was affected.
They demanded for some documents to be signed before treating her and because of the delay, Lillian died that same night on 23rd May, 2012. The Bolivian authority wanted to bury her there but the family went to the Ministry of foreign affairs in Nairobi and through the Kenyan Embassy in Brazil, they were given two week to repatriate the body.
The family has exhausted every avenue and since the Government can’t help financially, they urgently need $5000.00 which they don’t have and they are appealing to well-wishers to help them bring her body back to Kenya.
