With deep appreciation, the George Obor family would like to acknowledge the many expressions of love, kindness and support which was shown to them during their hour of need following the sudden departure of George. May God bless and keep you all! A big “Thank you” to: The George Obor Funeral Committee in Stockholm, Mr. Jared Odero, Mr. Okoth Osewe, Mr. Joshua Oyugi, Mr. Antony Odera, Mr. Jasper Orieny and Mr. Joe Goga, for their time and energy following our bereavement. I greatly appreciated your generosity and support during those very difficult times.
We would also like to thank everyone who attended and gave us their financial support during the Harambee that was held on the 24th of March. Your contribution to the Funeral Fund was the perfect remembrance to George’s giving spirit. Thank you very much for such a special Harambee that will remain in our minds for ever.
Words alone cannot express how much we thank you all for the sincere expressions of sympathy, and all the help you provided us during our moment of sadness and sorrow. We are truly grateful for your friendship and support. Please let me express my deepest appreciation to all those who were involved, directly or indirectly, in planning the Harambee.
Much gratitude to: everybody who bankrolled the event; those who prepared the wonderful food; and all those who saw to it that the Harambee achieved its objective. You are truly good friends and relatives. A vote of thanks also goes to all those who were unable to attend the Harambee but sent their generous donations in George’s honor. Your kindness is greatly appreciated by all members of the George Obor family.
Further, a vote of thanks goes to all those who attended George’s Memorial service at Stockholm Sjukhem Chapel. Please know that your kindness during this difficult time has meant a lot to our family. The memorial service that was performed gave great comfort and inspiration to everyone who was present. Thank you very much for your support during this trying moment. Your soothing words brought comfort and hope to us at the most critical time. We greatly appreciate the services of Pastor Britt-Marie Godman who conducted the Memorial service with humility, love and compassion. Many thanks to Sister Katherine who introduced us to the Pastor thereby enabling the truly beautiful service to be performed at the Chapel.
Just a short note to those we may not have been named above: We have not forgotten you. Please, understand that you are most appreciated and we would like to let you know that we thank you all for whatever you did for us, be it through the beautiful flowers that you sent, the consoling telephone calls that you made, the kind words that soothed our souls, the visit that you made at our home or your presence at the hospital. We very much appreciate your thoughtfulness during this difficult time.
