The outcome of a second forensic psychiatric examination shows that Nyambu, who is accused of having drowned her two sons last fall, has a serious mental disorder. A psychiatric expert had disputed the result of the first examination done in December 2011, thereby prompting a second opinion. He believed that there was considerable uncertainty about the degree of her mental disorder. The social welfare’s legal counsel who conducted the second forensic psychiatric examination reached the same conclusion: Nyambu has a serious mental disorder and needs psychiatric care.
Nyambu’s trial was concluded on March 12, 2012 at the Attunda District Court. Her advocate asked for manslaughter verdict, while the prosecutor wanted her actions judged as murder. However, both do not want her to be jailed, but given psychiatric help. The prosecutor has asked that she be deported to Kenya after the psychiatric care. The verdict will be delivered on March 19, 2012.
Both Swedish psychiatric came out with the same judgement ,hence if the second institution would have said otherwise the community and the international observers would have questioned the Swedish Mental (psyciatric institution) of their credibility.Ie:Present and past decisions and judgement.Anyway let us assume people who commits such serious crimes are not really normal. Nyambu will face the full law of commiting murder.
Poor Grace! Is she allowed visitors at the mental hospital?
Where are all the Kenyans that were baying for her blood now?! They need to get together and form a lynch mob, march to the courthouse and demand she be released to them so that they can administer their justice a´la “ki-mu-mtaa”. Shameless people!
