MÄRSTA. Candle Lighting and singing in Swahili.

Today, a memorial service was held for the brothers Tevin and Elias at the Sätuna Church. At 11 o’clock in the morning, relatives, friends, and Sigtuna residents gathered at the Sätuna Church to honor the memory of the dead brothers, Tevin, 8, and Elijah, 4. Reverend Ann-Marie Johansson at the Sätuna Church had been asked by the family’s relatives to hold a memorial service.
“It is important that people meet and mourn together”, said the Rev. Ann-Marie Johansson.
Full house
The church was packed and almost all visitors lit a candle for the dead children.
“I think it can become a downward spiral if you sit alone during this time of grief and despair”, she said to Aftonbladet.
During the memorial service, the pastor spoke of how to get to understand what happened, and how to prevent it from happening again.
The two brothers were found dead less than a week ago at the pier of Munkholmen.
Confessed
Their mother admitted last Thursday during a pre-trial hearing that she took the lives of her children, and was arrested the next day.
Yesterday a memorial service was held at Saint Eugenia church at Kungsträdgården in Stockholm.

You know, I can’t understand how some women can be so detached. For me, I recently gave birth to my 2nd child. Giving birth is such a challenging, beautiful experience that bonded me with my kids. After going through 9 months of pregnancy and the birth of the kids I just can’t relate to being able to kill them. I mean why go to the trouble of having them in the first place?
Giving birth doesn’t make a woman maternal. If you have one child and you’re satisfied with that one–why have more? The poor kids were innocent yet they were the ones that suffered. If this woman did intentionally drown her kids, I say let her kill herself.
