Sophia, many thanks to you for being brave enough to explain some of the circumstances that led to the tragic loss of the two young boys. I wish you comfort during this difficult time, having been close to the family. You did your best, but the end was beyond your reach.
Is it just me or is Sofia Njoroge a funny character? I mean who drops to the floor in agony like that…especially since the boys weren’t even her relatives. The true colour of Wakenya is coming out. Everyone wants to show they matter here.
sophia if how you are explaining this situation in this video is how you had reacted before then it would be a different situation! My anger points at you and the daddy coz no one who informed us we who live here in stockholm even maybe we could have contributed to pay her rent and electricity as the mother searched for a new job!
Paps be serious if the Kenyans would have been told a good number would have had a reason not to contribute in anything than in gossip. They would have said… Didn’t she just come from holidays? When was the last time I went home… Or the favorite ata jisort just like the rest of us. But now that emotions are high due to the tragic departure of the boys alot of people will act and sound like if they were approached they would have.
Apart from Sophia, did you see the self-acclaimed Facebook “Wasamaria Wema” in the court or its surrounding? NO! That is why FB should only be another mode of communication for non-essential issues. True friends will be concerned about the absence another friend for a whole month. However, the fake FB friends of the murder-charged woman spend more time virtually, forgetting that real life calls for frequent communication. The woman is now guilty of murder, having confessed committing it. Her FB friends should therefore stop including the Kenya-Stockholm community in their collective guilt for not having bothered to contact her when she stopped appearing on FB.
I think Sophia is a better person compared to the murder-woman’s party friends who are a mix of parents and singles. Where were they for a month? Did they not miss her? Kweli in Stockholm you are always alone. Many friends will only like you when they want to party, gossip and suck you materially. Wanapenda vya bwerere!
Where are all those who were earlier condemning others’ opinions at KSB, yet are now missing in action after she has confessed murdering her children?
Jud you should set your emotions aside. If you knew the kids, where were you as they remained out of school for one month? Where were you probably when they were tortured and without food? You have explained your anger more than once, so there is no point repeating it all over the updates.
@ Missy, please stop! where were you? Sophia is the only person that we know of that tried to do something for this family! I think we need to stop all of this she coulda ,woulda, shoulda moments. Elias and Tevin are gone! The mother was clearly in distress, and probably thought no one could have helped her. Lets stop the finger poining as it is pointless at this time. I understand the whys, hows, what ifs that we have, that I have………….but please let us stop pointing fingers. It does not matter anymore. so we can stop it from repeating itself….How about we learn from this? ………am just saying.
I agree with you Concerned. I think the best way to prevent something similar from happening is for us to atleast confide in someone who we hold close to us when trouble hits. In this case Sofia, from what she has said she knew Grace was having problems but hadn’t realised how serious her situation was. From what I gather Grace had cut communication with most if not all her friends and if you know the sort of person that she was/is ‘puttin your nose’ into her business was the last thing you would have wanted to do. And the timing was not on anyone’s side. The month she has been awol is when most people are busy with school runs so I guess most people assumed she and the kids were fine. I don’t know the kind of relationship she and the son’s Dad had so I won’t be pointing fingers at him. It is an unfortunate event.
As much as disturbing this is, we should all agree that we have all failed these kids as kenya-stockholm community collectively. Many of us did not know this family at all, but that is not stopping us from feeling the grief or feeling that there must be something i could have done at the individual level if i had the relevant information. I know it’s pointless pointing fingers at others but let’s all agree that the reponsibility was very much at the hands of the close friends to the murderer. These friends should have noticed something i believe. Maybe they did but they did not want to betray their party friend as in doing so she could loose the kids to the welfare but you people did not help much by sparing her, she did loose them anyways but to much tragic fate.
Many do attack this blog now and then, but its to my sincere believe that its brings us alot of light within the Kenya community, some would call it gossip but i believe its healthy gossip especially when it brings to light cases that may need our joint help. # 5 you are condemning #4, but believe you me there are some people kind enough who could have helped in this situation, most people could have definately responded like you stated but there are those special ones who could have organised harambee to help.
Even though we are mourning today as a community, lets not forget to embrace the teachings this tragedy brings along. We perceive differently as such our individual perception will be different but lets all join hands, sing cumbaya and be a community instead of spending time fighting each other. Despite our small differences we still are Kenyans at heart and in our soul, we remain brothers and sisters, and all we need to do is to support each other in all times, good or bad.
comment to 8. i know this family but i am not too close to them. we are acquantancies. used to be their neighbour but i moved from there a while ago. Of course i have to have emotions as a human being, and also as a mother, and also more because i knew them. I can express my anger as many time as i want. Most of you just sit here and make criticisms and quarrel each other. Is that what we need here?
