11 thoughts on “Editorial: Ambassador Purity’s Secret Invitation to Meeting with MPs

  1. Purity Muhindis hypocritical underground and illegal dealings by trying to devide and to incite the people of Kenya in this time of healings and reconcilliation after the mayhem that took place in kenya general elections of 2007 where President Kibaki rigged election and went further to be sworn at night sorrounded by his hand-picked military generals, Chief Justice and other cabals of rulers of darkness and death. Today there is political and constitution crisis facing our country Kenya where each and every Patriotic members of Parliament, Human Rights Organisation: LSK,Fida,Foreign Diplomats, Koffi Annan ,Eu, USA and other world leaders and organisation are appealing to both Prinicipals (President Kibaki and PM Raira Oginga)to come into good Political terms and respect rule of Law in Imprementing the new constitution that was voted by the majority people of Kenya.
HON ambassador i would like to remind you the Followings> Kenya does not belong to Kikuyu people only. As a diplomat you must accept the rule of law even in a country you are domiciled here being (Sweden). You must oppen your eyes and admire and respect the Swedish democracy .Sweden is not a Banana Republic unlike Kenya where One Dominant Tribe has been Suffocating , opressing ,Killing, Maiming ,incarcelating, and marginalizing other smal tribes of Kenya.Hon ambassador do you know that your ever month salary comes from the Kenyan tax-payers?
Are you representing your tribe in sweden.
hon Muhindi why are you deviding and buying sell-outs so cheap with free beer, food etc and so selectively so that these( Walambajis) will only crapp and sing praises to the Visiting corrupt Members of Parliament.
Kenyans of goodwill must challenge your evil, devilish behaviour, mentality and your primitive attidude.
I hope Kenyans left behind and of goodwill will Picket Outside your residential home to prove your dirty politics of devide and rule in this time of reconcilliation and healings of the Kenyan people.

  2. Mr Osewe why not organise and mobilize Kenyans of good-will through sms to assemble and picket outside Purity Muhindis Resident at Nackastrand number 6 with pracards and shame this primitive and uncouth kibakis representative in Scandinavian countries .

Let wa-kenya prove to the visiting mps that their Ambassador in Sweden is the wrong person who is damaging her countrys reputations and image . Purity is representing impunity of the highest order and must be recalled haraka sana!

  3. am so proud, that out there, and even in the virtual community of Jukwaa, there exist a kalenjin who sees some sense. Forget the Kuttuny’s and Isaac Ruto’s of this world

And by the way, this should be the case for all Kenyans. These politicians that we so apologetically follow like blind and lost sheep are just that…politicians; they care less about us, they are in it only for their gain and not ours. Ati KKK? What do you think the Okuyos can do for the Kaleos and vice versa?

Tribalism and politics of belonging are so ruthlessly ingrained in Kenyans …they have overshadowed reason and objectivity. Our blog here is a good place to see all this interactions and tensions at their best .

  4. Kenyans were God fearing people, but when the devil of impunity and dynasty entered in to the hearts of our first leaders in 1963, it had to take its roots deeper in the Kenyan society thinking to change Kenya as one tribe Country. But because of the faith of the Kenyans who had loved their country it is now vanishing and one day Purity will be like an orphan. The evils our leaders have done to us are known to God and noted.

Whichever secrets one may use to undermine others will be known. Believe me or not Kenya will not remain the same. Those hanging on power will seek refugee 2012 they think they will dominate others forever but it will not materialise. The civil war they are caltivating will show them a different direction. Let them repeat the same mistakes again 2012.God is in control and Kenyans are now awake.

  5. Am sure the visiting MPs belong to the KKK tribal leaning. Means even the secretly invited Stockholmers are the same. Let Purity champion Kibaki’s way of dealing with Wakenya. Her tour of duty will never go beyond 2012 when we shall usher in a new Government.Who knows, we might also have another Tunisia or Egypt in Kenya, then drive General Keguoya and his team of tribalists into exile to their friend Bashir of Sudan, who is another king of impunity.

  6. It is quite evident from the comments that Kenyans unfortunately still do not see through the manipulations of the Kenyan political elite. Take for example the comment by revolutionary cadre reminding Muhindi that Kenya does not belong to the Kikuyu people. My question came to mind immediately is why introduce a tribal twist to the affair? Why would revolutionary cadre conclude that Muhindi’s actions are being done in the name of the Kikuyu community? Muhindi’s actions may be construed as unconstitutional and discriminatory, and should be viewed as such, but should they be attributed to tribal sentiment? Her invitations may have gone out to people from one community, I am speculating here as I do not have the facts, but this is surely the norm for practically all Kenyans even in Stockholm. Kenyans tend to feel secure in gatherings where their community is overrepresented, evident even in meetings held by “ordinary” Kenyans in Stockholm. This is the Kenyan reality and this is what we have unfortunately been taught since birth. Expecting others to behave contrary to the Kenyan norm is wishful thinking if not just plain delusional. Kenyans holding public office are expected to attest to national values but the bitter fact is none do so. Just visit any Ministers office and I grantee that the majority of those visiting or even employed there are from the Minister’s community. This is Kenya. The colonial weapon of control “Divide and Rule” has surpassed all expectations.
My point is that Kenyans have the tendency to shout tribalism especially if the offending person is not from their community. Tribalism does certainly exist and tribe the yardstick used by many a Kenyan, but a progressive Kenyan should not have this mindset. When revolutionary cadre is at pains to remind Muhindi that Kenya does not belong to Kikuyus, he is implying that Kikuyus benefit directly from her actions. I am pretty sure the Kikuyus in Stockholm and Kenya at large are not privy to her decisions and therefore the community cannot be held accountable for them. I would go as far as to state that revolutionary cadre’s reasoning is akin to that of the leaders and mobs of rowdy murders responsible for the post 2007 elections massacres. The truth of the matter is none of the communities involved then and now have more ugali in their sufuria’s as a result of demonizing another community. The political elite however continue to thrive, and the wealth of rich has doubled and the children of the old political guard are being groomed to take over 2012. Those pointing fingers at fellow Kenyans shouting tribe are still struggling to feed themselves and their children face a bleak future.
Kenyans will always hail from different tribes, let us accept this fact. Kenyans are in agreement that impunity has to end. To achieve this goal, we as Kenyans we have to focus less on our differences and focus more on our similarities. We lack adequate shelter, food supplies, medical care, personal and job security, salaries are stagnant; the cost of living has indeed escalated beyond the forbearance of Kenyans. This is what every Kenyan regardless of geographical location in the country faces and these are the tribulations to overcome. I personally do not have any high hopes come 2012 elections since Kenyans are still blind to what ails them.

  7. I agree with Mercy, something needs to be done and none other than we kenyans in stockholm can do it and of course with some from other Kenyans in scandinavian countries…. Common Kenyans together we can Purity be recalled.

  8. To add on to my earlier comments:
Kenyans in Stockholm seem to think that the holder of the office of Ambassador represents and works for the people of Kenya, and by extension the Kenyans in Stockholm. This may be the true in the imaginary Kenya the majority seem to conjure up similar to some soap opera. The fact is the holder of the office of Ambassador represents the interests of the political and monetary elite of Kenya. Kenyans not in this category are not represented in Stockholm. One may speak about Kenya’s coalition government and multi-pluralism, but it all boils down to rich or poor Kenyan. The more things change the more they remain the same. Therefore surprise, shock and indignation expressed whenever this office behaves true to nature are pointless. If you have a government, coalition or otherwise, that does little or nothing for its citizens how then is the person representing that government expected to conduct themselves in respect to the well-being of these citizens? The root of the problem does not lie in Stockholm but begins at the polling station during elections. Kenyans sell their future and that of their children time and time again for a bag of maize, a leso or a swell time at the local pub.
If we would take an animal analogy, the lion would never represent antelope interests or well-being. The antelope exists to keep the pride of lions well fed. A lion may walk a few days with the antelope making all kinds of promises and giving assurances, but will turn and devourer the antelope in a flash when the time comes. Kenyans have been devoured from the days of colonialism and more so since the 1963 declaration of independence. The lions are gathering once again, as they have always done, reassuring the antelopes with messages of the grandeur of their role prior to the 2010 elections. Their message as usual also contains confirmation as to the superiority of the brown colored antelopes as opposed to the stripped and grey ones. The time for the brown antelopes has come and their well-being assured if they elect the lions. Are Kenyans prepared and willing to be duped this way again? Only time will tell.

  9. Why is it that there is constant undermining of the Ambassador of Kenya? Why can`t she be let to do her duty in peace. Is she undermined because of gender or intimidated due to her humble nature or intellect. I believe Kenyans have something to be proud of as an example of having been civilised enough to have a female ambassador. Its not happened for ages. The ambassador should be left in peace to do her duty. Why are the male ambassadors not constantly intimidated?

  10. Rakini ,hawa wakenya stockholmers who boot-lick every Kenya Ambassador that comes to stockholm ,dont you guys suspect them, to be low-lying spies whose role is to spy and report wakenyas stuation in stockholm.I think time has come for wakenyas to be careful of these men and women who has been worshipping purity and at every kenyan gatherings . If you happen to observe some of them ,they are always seen whispering at Purity and at the same time they look suspicious ,hence thinking people around them can be reading their hearts and minds.Let us hope and trust the Ksb (Kiss)agents will expose their dirty role in this free-society we live in. I also think and believe that we kenyans should leave our primitive behavious and fitina back home and not bring it in Sweden or in any other civilized society. We should also learn to respect each and every indivindual and stop polojo rumour-mongering and gossipping.

  11. Jacquie Opiyo: read Osewe’s reply to Tshik on the message calling for Kenyans to picket.

“Tshik: You are introducing the issue of gender at the speculative level. Purity remains a mother of wonderful children and a wife of a respected Kenyan man.

However, as an Ambassador, she has been a disaster and a bad example. Criticisms of her have been based on her policies at the Embassy, not her performance at the domestic level.

Politicians must answer to the public, whether in Kenya or in Sweden because they are public servants. There is nothing wrong with asking them questions because the Constitution allows for freedom of expression. Let those who want to confront them do so, those who want to watch from a distance do so and those who want to throw salvos online do so. That is democracy.

There are Kenyan ladies who hate Purity like leprocy because of her cheap theatrics. With your narrow, gender based interpretation of a straight forward problem, what will you tell these women when they become active on the picket line? Does it mean that men she has invited to the Dinner are those who love her as a woman?”
