Dear Africans, It feels amazing to breathe the air of a new year. For the whole of the last week I kept trying to remember what 2010 was like and what 2011 should be like.

We can all look back with gratitude as we start 2011. A lot of developments were witnessed during the year, much more was accomplished, a few not fulfilled while we failed to realize some dreams. Overall, outcomes were overwhelmingly positive.
As expected, every year presents opportunities and challenges that must be solved. I would say that 2010 gave us many good opportunities, challenges and means to tackle the new challenges facing our African community in Sweden and back home in Africa.
It is good that our policy of unity for Africans in Sweden continues to be appropriate for building strength and making an impact that will enhance cohesion, integration, peace and prosperity in our new found land and mother Africa as well. This is no small matter but united we can make it. I would like to thank all Africans and friend of Africa who have continued to show commitment to work and build our future.
The past is gone. There are many things that did not go well in 2011. There isn’t much we can do about that except learn the lessons. But we can do something about the future and the time for that is now. Particularly I would like to send apologies to our people that due to reasons beyond control, Tony Nyadundo show of 1st January 2011 was cancelled.
I wish also to thank all friends of the Network for African Unity and partners with whom we have worked – in particular Mr Okoth Osewe and KSB contribution towards uniting Africans.
I thank all Africans for their hard work and cooperation towards promotion of our culture and changing attitudes. Most outstanding is the initiative to set up the African Monetary Fund which has done a great job.
There is one thing on which I would like to be clearly understood. When we call on Africans to come together to strengthen our community, we do not for a moment, overlook the fact that individual Africans may have differences. However different we may be in our ideas or other aspects, there are issues on which we should never differ. We cannot differ on our common history, common future, our shared values, wellbeing, integrity, development and, above all, the Unity of Africans.
We shall continue to work together with; groups, organizations and individuals for coordination, development of small medium and mega projects in promotion of our culture, entrepreneurship and in all political, social and economic developments.
The Network shall be there to ensure that there is no contradiction with working for the common interest despite our diversity in culture, political views, methods of work, strengths and weaknesses. I thank you for what we have achieved together and what we will surely accomplish in the New Year and in the future.
I wish to take this opportunity to inform you that the Network for Africans Unity will hold the Annual General Meeting on Saturday 26th March 2011, in Sollentuna, at the ABF lokal, Häggviksvägen 2.
The agenda and all other important details will soon be posted through KSB.
I wish you happiness, peace and prosperity.
