This is funny. Saitoti names four drug barons and refuses to name Mary Wambui and a few others. And as we know there is often little honour between thieves so Kabogo has helped unlock the rest. But it sure is frightening that the wife of the president of the republic is a major drug trafficker in the country. Everybody knows that already but it is good to have these things on record.
History will remember Kibaki as the president who brought Kenya the Arturs, damn near brought the country to its knees by brazenly stealing an election and then this. Not very good credentials I must say. What a legacy! Hundreds of years from now our great grand kids will sure think we were a nation of mad people at some point to end up with this. But that will then, this is now.
Expect this whole circus to go nowhere. If you go after the Kabogos you are going to have to drag Mary Wambui wa Mwai Kibaki and the name of the president (and State House) to court over drug trafficking and nobody can even imagine doing anything like that. What a perfect piece of insurance the drug barons have. I have always said it requires a lot of smarts to be a criminal at this level. These dudes are covered.
