Asha Malko Mohammed, a Kenyan Muslim resident in Stockholm, has sent best wishes to all Muslims around the world currently celebrating Idd. Speaking to KSB, Malko said that Muslims, Christians and other religions ought to live in harmony because they all worship the same God.
She condemned attempts by a preacher in the United States to burn the Koran saying that the plan was a provocation which people of the world could do without. At the time of going to Blog, the plan had been canclled.
“There is no Christian who will be happy if someone wants to burn the Bible and Muslims are unlikely to appreciate or welcome plans to burn the Koran”, she told KSB. She added that the Nations of the world are facing many problems during this time and that instead of people threatening to do evil things, they should strive to do good.
I take this opportunity to send special Idd greetings to all Muslims across the world”, she told KSB. “There should be a peaceful coexistence of people across the world because this is what God wants”, she added.
