The tournament, which is already underway features teams from Ghana, Gambia, Cameroon, Somalia, Senegal among others.
So far, several Kenyans have joined forces to set up the team but according to Makan Macharia, a Kenyan footballer who is helping set up the team, more players need to volunteer.
“We want to make the process as open as possible and we appeal to all interested Kenyans to join us”, Makan told KSB.
Kenyans who have submitted their names are: Steve Karani, Mutiso Mukundi, Muchemi Ngatia, Charles Ndungu, Isack Rama, Tebby Maundu, Makan Macharia, Anton Abila, Michael Mukundi, Francis Kariuki and Abdul Shabir.
Once interested Kenyans get together, the group will move to set up the Kenyan team which will represent the country in the tournament. Those interested can get in touch with Makan at: 0737643655. The Kenyans have also been mobilizing through Facebook and once they constitute the Kenyan team, it is expected that they will give other teams a tough time in the tournament.
