Fatma, the proprietor of Karibu Travels, has taken contact with KSB to say that the Agency is in business and has not gone under. According to Fatma, there has been no contact with the Agency because her father passed away in Kenya and she had to rush home urgently to attend the funeral.
“I travelled to Kenya but on my way back, I was held because of the volcanic eruption (in Iceland). When I arrived in Sweden, my father died four days later and I had to rush back home to attend the funeral”, she told KSB on telephone.
The Kenyan businesswoman said that she returned from Kenya today (Monday May 10th) in the morning and that throughout the day, she has been taking contact with her clients to explain to them what happened. She added that Telia had also disconnected her telephone although at the moment, the line had been reconnected.
She said that everything went so fast and being a Muslim, she had to rush home because Muslims normally burry immediately. A Kenyan lady who was affected by the lack of contact and who was supposed to travel to Kenya has taken contact with KSB and said that Fatma has been in touch with her to sort out the problem.
As we write, non of her clients is facing any problems with travelling and she was working late into the evening. The Agency is running and she has resumed business. Fatma recognized the dilemma that faced those who were affected and added that she was in a total hurry when she left for Kenya. Some customers contacted KSB in desperation.
Many Kenyans will, most likely, receive the news that Karibu is in business with great relief because the Agency is very much liked by Kenyans while Fatma is known to treat her customers with a lot of respect. It is great that the matter has now been resolved. KSB had made an appeal for Karibu Travels to take contact with the blog for an explnation following concerns from worried customers.
We take this opportunity to send deep condolences to Fatma and her entire family following the demise of her Dad. We welcome her back to Stockholm and wish her booming business in the times ahead. It is another case of “All is well that ends well”.
