Time has come for me and Peder to pass a few concluding remarks for the help that we received after the late Hussain Ssembatya’s death that was followed by a mammoth fundraising to help transport his body to Uganda for burial.
If I would stand in front of people who helped, my voice would probably tremble while I could also restrain tears in my eyes. We wish to convey sincere thanks to all of you who helped us to raise money and all the help and contributions that meant a lot. It is, of course, impossible to tell everything that everyone did during the trying days but we would like to send a special thank you to the following people.
Margaret: You are such a warm person and we appreciate you very much. You worked so hard on just everything. James & Silvia, thank you for your warmth and friendship. Many thanks to Agnes & David who came almost daily to visit and pray for Hussain.
Moses Semakola, Jib Ketende who, from day one, co-organized things. Your help was invaluable. Joseph Mugelwa, Agnes Saboni, Godfrey Etiyang, Albert Taabu and brothers plus Hassan Kagimo. Your hearts are genuine in terms of what you say and what you are doing.
We send many thanks to all of you who helped with everything in Sollentuna. Fatuma, Ruth, Neno, Madina, Malko and Gideon Magak, our Kenyan friends. Thank you for everything you did – selling, cooking, cleaning, Accounting and other responsibilities.
We send thanks to Journalist Okoth Osewe who helped to get the information out to the people. To all of you who contributed financially, we want to extend special thanks for the solidarity. All your friendship means so much to us and so many others. May the soul of Hussein Rest In Peace.
Peder & Huda
