A Committee that was formed to facilitate the funeral arrangement of the late Mr. Moussa Awuonda failed to meet yesterday evening at Continental Hotel because Committee members did not turn up due to various reasons.
The Committee is headed by Mr. Joshua Oyugi as Chairman, Mr. Ken Aroka, Secretary while Mr. Joseph Goga is the Treasurer. Yesterday, both the Chairman and the Treasurer were not available while the Secretary entered into mourning following the demise of his uncle in Kenya. Other Committee members are Mrs Hellen Opwapo, Mrs Prisca Forsman and Mrs Jane Owili. I was informed that I was the Information Secretary.
A key task of the Committee is to oversee the Awuonda Funeral Service in Stockholm and to address other issues following the demise of Mr. Awuonda. KSB will keep readers updated about any new developments.

What a shame! I believe that the members of the Committee
opened their mounths too soon. How is it possible that they could not meet “for several reasons”. What a shame! If the committee cannot or is unable to arrange something as important as the funeral of Moussa, look for someone else.
It is painfully embarrasing!
Justice to Moussa
José Luis Belmar and Alfred de Tavares, colleagues and friends.
You can add the name of Ric Wasserman, who last year was working with Moussa on a project about Lake Victoria. He too feels ashamed for this outrageus attitude. José Luis Belmar
KSB: The situation has been corrected and the Committee has organized a Memorial tomorrow Saturday 14th February at Hornsgatan 137.
