Catherine Maundu, a leading member of the children’s group, ”Making A Difference (M.A.D)”, called KSB last evening to say that the scheduled children’s activity that was slated for this Saturday the 20th of December has been cancelled because the venue, Norsborg Musikhuset, has been shut down by the Management following police orders.
According to Cathy, there was a Liberian Party at the venue last Saturday but unfortunately, a fight broke out and police were called in. When the dust settled, the Management was ordered not to hire the venue any further and the directive has derailed the M.A.D event that was planned.
“We tried to convince the Management to allow us organize our event between two and ten in the night but they refused”, a disappointed Cathy told KSB.
She said the cancellation of the event was reached by M.A.D leaders after attempts to get an alternative venue failed. Norsborg has several pending cases of violence that have not yet been resolved, a factor that could have led police to close down the venue.
A fight that erupted at the venue during a Kenyan Party and in which a Rwandese national was beaten by a Kenyan Ninja has not yet been resolved because police are still looking for witnesses.
In another case during a Kenyan Party, a group of marauding Gambian youths smashed the glass window of the venue after they were refused entry by Kenyans who were manning the door because the Gambians “were too drunk”. Although police was called, the case is still not yet resolved because the Gambians are still at large.
Cathy said that MAD will soon be back with a new plan, saying that the abrupt close down has not discouraged the group from organizing.
She apologized to Kenyan parents who may have planned to give their children a treat but promised that come next year, MAD will bounce back into action.
The picture shows fracas at a Kenyan Party at Norsborg. The victim on the ground is a Rwandese national, unconscious after being beaten by a lethal Kenyan Ninja who fled the scene before police arrived. The case has never been resolved. The man in black is Makan, trying to administer first aid before medics arrived. Notice that the victim’s shoes is missing. The leg on the left edge of the picture is that of a policeman keeping vigil as paramedics are awaited.

You just got me cracking up. How sensational when you report that: “Notice that the victim’s shoe is missing.” That must have been a night of terror with the Kenyan Ninja demonstrating his martial arts antics on the Rwandese bully.
Anyway, the art of reporting gets better when spiced with dramatic words. The Norsborg Ninja incident does not depress if one reads the humor in it, tragic as it was. Keep it up.
I wonder who the Kenyan ninja was/is? But its a shame coz you dont get many venues of such capacity and with long opening hours!!
Ebony:
You would be surprised to know who the Ninja was/is. I support him for his actions that night. He has a cool front until confronted and turns into Superman or Rambo.
Unfortunately, the Rwandese deserved the thwacking since he went “loco” at an otherwise peaceful occasion.
Kenyans get chaotic too, but rarely cause the “blue shirts” to come for intervention. It is a pity that we have no central or permanent meeting joint (lokal) like the Eritreans or other communities, that don’t have to panick and wind up due to thrown punches.
