There have been many enquiries by KSB readers as to what happened to a Kenyan who was facing assault and rape charges in a Swedish court. We have to admit that soon after elections were rigged in Kenya by Mr. Mwai Kibaki and his gang of thieves, Kenya-Stockholm News took a back seat as KSB got into full gear to reflect on what was happening in Kenya.
The Kenyan in question was jailed for three years. The latest is that he has appealed against the sentence and Appeal hearing is coming in March. For heaven’s sake, this Kenyan was never deported and, according to the verdict, he will not be deported unless the situation changes at the appeal.
Other news updates which could not be published regards the departure of Mr. George Kinyua from Kenya Embassy. KSB had a full coverage of the event which took place on December 22nd. Mr. Kinyua left for his new posting in Canada on December 27th. A video clip about the event will be posted at KSB for the record. Some propaganists have filled their channels with tales that the Kinyua story never saw the light at KSB because of my hatred of both Kinyua and the Kenyan Embassy where he worked. The truth is that I met Mr. Kinyua hours before he left for Canada and even gave him a DVD copy of the video footage of his farewell reception at Bagarmossen.
Some Kenyans have also been asking about a Laptop which was supposed to be given to the Kinyuas as a present using cash that was donated by friends and well-wishers at the function. News about the Laptop was received by KSB but election crisis cut it short. We can assure Kenyans who contributed that their money “was not eaten” and that we have evidence that the Laptop was purchased and handed over to the family. Mr. Jamlik Muritu was in charge and I have personally spoken to him about the present. Jamlik is a Christian and it is unthinkable that he could have “eaten the money” for the Laptop. Jamlik’s enemies should therefore shut up.
The Phylis Memorial Children’s Home managed by Mrs Jacinter Njoroge could have been in the news at KSB long time in December. A picture slide about the Home should have been posted at KSB together with some video clips were it not for the more urgent election news. Jacinter must be very angry with KSB because of failure to feature the Home as had been promised. However, this is not the strange part.
I don’t know how a PNU sympathiser got news that some info about the Home had not been published at KSB because this crook has been going round telling Wakenya that the Phylis story was blacked out at KSB because Kibaki (who belongs to Jacinter’s Kikuyu ethnic group) stole elections from Raila Odinga, a Luo whose tribesman also runs KSB. This is just crazy because such talk does not promote unity within the Kenyan community. It promotes tribalism and the small brain spreading this uwongo should get something better to do.
Then, there was the UHCK fund raising which was poorly attended and which, according to Mr. Joseph Munene, was attended by members of “one ethnic group”. A KSB agent who was at the function said that majority of those who attended were from the Kikuyu ethnic group. Munene was later taken to task by Chebet Keter who wondered why Munene was referring to the attendees with their ethnic groups instead of using the term “few Kenyans”.
The strange part or beef about the harambee is that a close friend of mine informed me that he wouldn’t be able to attend the harambee but that he would send in 400 kr. He requested me to pass this message to the UHCK leadership which I did. I personally called Mr. Githuku wa Muirani, the Chairperson of UHCK, and delivered the good news. But, according to agents, this humble message was quickly converted into negative propaganda.
Moredek was not attending the harambee and the Movement released a Statement to this effect. At the UHCK event, word was being spread by anti-Osewe activists in UHCK that I had personally influenced Luos not to attend the harambee but then “went behind the Luos” to donate 400 kr – Holy smoke. In their tribal brains, those who manufactured this lie and who were poisoning the minds of other innocent Wakenya believe that Moredek is a “Luo organization” even though it’s myself and Beryl Otumba (Luos) who sit in its leadership of 13 people. A KSB agent reported that the matter had been deliberately twisted by tribalists who view KSB as an “Anti-Kibaki” blog. Is this the way to go after election rigging in Kenya? I could only hope that Mr. Muirani, whom I gave the message, will do his best to clarify the matter to UHCK membership.
Then there is the worst part of it. A well known Kibaki synpathiser declared at a meeting with Kikuyu friends that he was “a tribalist” regardless of what others thought about his declaration. According to a KSB agent who was at the gathering, the guy said that events in Kenya have proved that tribalism exists and that it was high time people took a stand. Others reacted that there was no need of the guy making the declaration because “people have always known” that he is a tribalist. The good news is that fellow Kikuyus who were at the gathering were not happy. Now, how could things have come to this?
I also don’t know what someone told “Mama KK” about a story that appeared at KSB last year because she is very upset with me. She believes that I created a story about her son then published it at KSB although it is the son who called me and asked me to help him by publishing the story. The son is one of my best friends and we exchange mail all the time. When I phoned him to investigate what was going on, he said that some people had not told her mother the truth. But I spare that bit for another time. Kenya Stockholm is abuzz with strange stories!
