A fund raising that was held on Saturday 27th October at the residence of Janet, a sister to ailing Naomi Wambui, raised over 10.000 kr. Speaking to KSB, Naomi said that she was very grateful to everybody who turned up for the fund raising.
“We appreciate very much and God bless everybody who came to help me”, she said, adding that the final count of the cash is not yet complete.
“I have organized fund raisings before but I have never seen such a big crowd. I know God will open a way for me and I will go through the operation”, she said.
Naomi, whose legal status in Sweden is still being considered by the Swedish Immigration authorities, needs to raise at least 20.000 kr to undergo an urgent eye operation at St Erik’s Eye Hospital in Stockholm.
