You could have gotten the SMS today from a Kenyan friend trying to save your hard drive. The other day, another hoax which made the rounds had it that Comviq, the telephone company, was celebrating its 25th aniv and that it was offering 500 kr worth of airtime if you sent the message to at least five people.
It spread like bush fire among Wakenya who like free stuff.
You did not even need to check it out. If it was true, it meant that Comviq was set up in 1982, time when even the mobile phone had not yet come around, leave alone Comviq. If you fowarded the message below, then you swallowed the bait for today!

This hoax has been circulating by email. The text is in German or Swedish. A French version has been reported and English versions are possible. The text of the hoax message is as follows (German):
VIRUSWARNUNG !!!
Besondere Vorsicht ist bei Internet-Anschlüssen wie MSN, Yahoo, Wanadoo, AOL, Infonie bzw kostenlose Anschlüsse geboten. – Diese Information kommt von Microsoft, Norton.
BITTE diese INFORMATION an ALLE IHRE KONTAKTE WEITERLEITEN!
Wenn Sie ein nicht wirklich auffälliges Mail mit einer Power Point Präsentation, die sich “Welcome to the matrix.pps” (Willkommen in der Matrix) nennt, AUF KEINEN FALL ÖFFNEN und SOFORT VERNICHTEN!
Beim Öffnen sieht man ca. 10 Sekunden ein Bild, dann folgt die Nachricht “You’re hard drive is over” (Ihre Festplatte ist hinüber), und damit ist alles zu spät – Sie verlieren alle auf Ihrem PC gespeicherten Daten und Ihre Adressdatei wird an den Absender des Virus weitergeleitet.
Das ist ein neuer Virus der erst seit kurzem zirkuliert. Es muss alles Mögliche unternommen werden um diesen Virus zu stoppen. Auch Microsoft hat bereits seine Aggressivität bestätigt und bisher ist kein Antivirusprogramm fähig ihn zu zerstören. Der Virus ist von einem französischen Piraten, der sich “Nwin27” nennt, programmiert worden.
