It is the duty of every government on earth to protect and honour the rights of it’s citizens. It’s my believe that President Kibaki is not responsible for the delay of Mrs Ann Okoth’s passport but those responsible are causing an unnecessary embarrassment to the President, the government and the nation of Kenya.
The Kenya Embassy in Stockholm has been of great assistance to me and many Kenyans in Sweden but this situation is likely to give it a bad image here and outside. Why can’t this be avoided?
I appeal to who ever is responsible to act now, do your job and issue the passport or at least issue a statement as to why this situation is unfolding.
This is a very important time for the government to demonstrate it’s willingness to serve the people, and it’s capability to lead Kenya another term. Am a supporter of the good job president Kibaki is doing and I wish that this case will not be allowed to discredit his efforts.
