The re-known Pastor Beatrice Kamau has eventually decided to tie the knot and to live happily ever after. The wedding will take place on June 30th 2007 at St klara Church from 14 hours. According to information obtained by KSB, all Kenyans and friends are welcome to the wedding.
The event is important because it will be the fourth public wedding of a Kenyan national in Stockholm in this century. The Pastor’s partner, who is a Swedish national, has already paid dowry to the parents of Beatrice at a tune of 100 cows and 50 sheep. This is a colossal amount of dowry by any stretch of the Kenyan imagination.
The pioneer of public weddings in Stockholm among Wakenya is called Mr. Laban Mberi who wedded Josephine Kirigo in June 2001. The wedding was followed by that of Mr. & Mrs Nashon Mbugua before Mr. & Mrs Clay Onyango came to the scene in August 2005 with yet another fantastic wedding that saw a Hummer driven in the streets of Stockholm in the name of a Kenyan wedding.
News about Beatrice’s wedding will, most likely, kindle a lot of debate and for now, KSB can only keep its eyes open and ears on the ground.
We take this opportunity to congratulate the “yet to be” bride and groom for the big step they have taken in life and hope that the wedding will be a splendid moment to remember at all times.
Pastor Beatrice told KSB that anybody interested should take this story as an invitation to the wedding because she doesn’t have the addresses of all friends and contacts. “Don’t say that I never invited you to my wedding”, was her message to contacts and friends. Further information will be released later.
