Many KS-Beers must have learnt about the multiple romantic escapades of Dr. Andy, the amorous sex-pet suspected of possessing fascinating charms capable of according him powers to strip down the pant of every single dudette who ever mutters “hello” to him or who simply accords him mild attention.
Of late, KSB’s comment section has been “the epicenter of emotional palpitation” for hordes of innocent Kenyan women who have undergone repeated sexual exploitation at the hands of Dr. Andy who allegedly got unlimited access to their coveted goods after promising them permanent matrimonial bonding and paradise in Europe, illusions that were sealed outdoors with unparalleled subterfuge.

The tell-tale mark in all the romantic tales so far accumulated by KSB is that after their goods were consumed by the lucky and bulky Daktari, the victims eventually ended up being conned loads of cash before being dumped in the streets to lick their wounds as Daktari simply melted into thin air.
Others were abandoned with “developing tummies” to ponder the prospect of single motherhood after being convinced that they were eventually bound to settle down with Dr. Andy in the land of milk and honey. In a long and winding series of incredible tales, some of Dr. Andy’s victims have taken contact with KSB to share their tragedies.
They are determined that regardless of what happened to them, they need to “open up” as part of their healing processes. Some victims believe that by telling their stories, they are actually educating young and vulnerable Kenyan chicks whose pursuit for the good life might plunge them into a pool of catastrophe after downloading their hearts on the hands of the likes of Dr. Andy.
According to Debra, a victim who wants to share her story with KSB readers, she just “smiled at the Daktari” and that was it. After the magic smile, what she can scoop from her vivid memory is that her legs soon went apart at a luxurious Nyali Beach Hotel room in the coastal city of Mombasa where she had willingly served the goods to welcome the Doctor into her shrine as part of the negotiation process for better life, away from Kenya, to a dream world where every native is yearning to fly to, the place where development is said to come to an end. Debra says that Dr. Andy is convincing, adept, smooth, stylish and very romantic.
Debra is not cheap, unschooled or ignorant. She is not in the category of “poverty stricken Kenyans” said by the UN to be surviving on a dollar per day. She is not a school drop-out desperately seeking a tycoon to accord her the “good life” which millions of Kenyans only encounter in their dreams. She is a successful business Executive running her own Insurance company in Nairobi and living in her own mansion in the plush suburbs of Nairobi’s Runda.
Despite her background, University education, experience with men and economic independence, she fell prey to the antiques of Dr. Andy and ended up being hanyad “round the clock” before the Daktari allegedly conned her Ksh 160.000 in a complicated scheme which she only began to understand after reading at KSB about the predicament of other women who had been fooled by Dr. Andy into opening their holy shrines for sweet exploration by “The Master”.
Debbie told KSB that Dr. Andy deserves the “Master” title because he plays his cards like a person who graduated with a Master’s degree in the art of handling women from the “International University of Love and Romance”.
“After I fell for him, I doubt whether there is any other young aspiring woman on this planet who can go through his strategy without falling”, Debie told KSB. She said that Dr Andy has an intriguing talent when it comes to letting a woman “open up emotionally” before taking advantage of the situation to literally take control of the woman’s heart. “As if he has some voodoo magic, he manipulated me to a point where I could do anything to keep him”, Debbie said thoughtfully.
Since they walked the staircases of a Barclays Bank branch in Nairobi to empty her bank account after striking a deal, she has never seen Dr. Andy again although she told KSB that she has filed a case with Kenyan police. “Sometimes, I think I am an idiot but sometimes I think that I became more cleaver afterwards”, she told KSB.
Debra, who is 34 years old, independent and “better-off” by Kenyan standards, met Dr Andy by total fluke. Both of them were at the Bank to transact business and when they met at the queue, she returned what she described as “a combination of a smile and a nod” from the Daktari who looked very jovial and relaxed.
Clinic in Kenya
According to Debra, Dr. Andy behaved as though he knew her and since she deals with a lot of clients, she was not sure if the Doctor was or had been one of her customers. In order not to risk the “Don’t you remember me” kinda remark, she smiled back and from that point onwards, it was like she had signed a “relationship certificate”. It was not one of those weird love at first sight scenarios because all along, she believed that Dr. Andy was a real potential for a business opportunity.
At the queue, the two strangers never had any further communication but when Debra was exiting the Bank after transacting her business, she found Doctor Andy waiting for her outside.
“He looked like a family man, businesslike, disciplined, casually dressed and jolly”, Debra says.
From her first impressions, the Doctor assumed the character of someone who could be her client, not a lover. In any case, she was already in love with Morris, an IT Engineer she met about six months earlier at a Conference to discuss the role of technology in the Insurance industry.
“Romance was not in my mind during those first moments”, she told KSB.
“You look very presentable. What do you do?” posed Dr. Andy with an invitative smile
“Oh! Thank you! I am in the Insurance business”, she replied. It was exactly the kind of question she liked because her answer gave her an instant touch of class she needed to investigate any possible business opportunities.
“No wonder. You look very confident and relaxed. You must be doing well… I am Dr. Andy”, he muttered.
“Pleasure to meet you. My name is Debra but you can call me Deby?”, she ventured.
A short exchange then ensued where the main attraction was that Dr. Andy revealed that he was based in Holland, prompting her to investigate what the doctor was doing in the country.
“I am planning to set up a clinic here in Nairobi and I am currently tying the final strings. I think it’s time for me to set up a branch here in Kenya because I feel that I need to give back to my community you know”, he said, adding that he was tired of working for Wazungu Ulayani without much appreciation.
“That’s very god of you to be thinking of a branch here at home Dr. Andy”, she said, trying to find a connection to bring him closer and to show that she was interested in the conversation. She had learnt that addressing a new contact by name was a powerful tool in the business of getting close.
“Sure, thanks. Actually, it’s a great coincidence because yesterday, I was discussing with a friend some of the logistics in acquiring a building to house my Clinic and the issue of insurance also popped up. As an expert in the Industry, is it possible to have some time and discuss the matter? May be, you can give me some tips? posed the Doctor. He raised his eye-bows to create some wrinkles on his fore-head as if to encourage Debie to say “Yes”.
“Mmmm… Why not?”, she said, turning her head at an angle while looking at Dr. Andy with a face suggesting that the idea was welcome. Dr Andy looked like a “big fish” and she had learnt to play the “Business Lady” with these kinda chaps in town.
Suddenly, she began to view him as a potential customer and the knowledge that he was based in Holland led her to think that he must be having good money. In her classification, the Doctor was a “high potential” customer who needed extra attention.
Nevertheless, the Doctor was so much in a hurry but he did succeed in handing over a stylish contact card which pointed to an address in Holland. The Phone number was also included but just before they parted, the Doctor remembered to scribble his local Kenyan number at the back of the card which pointed to Safaricom network.
Not to be outdone, Debbie also handed over her card and the two agreed to keep in touch because the Doctor promised to check his diary so that they could fix an appointment to discuss business before he could fly back to Holland in two weeks. His parting shot was captivating.
“Remember, a Doctor has clients who may require insurance cover…”, he said. Deby’s mind began to spin.
“And remember, the insurance cover could come in handy when things go wrong for Andy at the Clinic…”, she chipped in. She wasn’t gonna be left behind in this game of word juggling. The story continues next Tuesday.
