Invitation to Swahili Day in Stockholm: 11th June
SWAHILI DAY – Saturday, 11th June, 2016
The Embassies of Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Mozambique will hold a Swahili Day cultural event on Saturday 11th June, 2016 in Stockholm.
Venue: at Folkets Hus Bagarmossen, Lillåvägen 44, 128 45 Bagarmossen..
Time: 13.30.00hrs to 20.00hrs
The purpose of the event is to celebrate and showcase Swahili culture. Activities will include brief speeches, poetry, live music and dance, display of Swahili food, fashion and literature.
The theme for the 2016 Swahili Day is: ‘Youth in Swahili Culture’.
Promoting interaction and exchanges between different cultures create added avenues for enriching diversity and understanding.
The Heads of Mission of these Embassies therefore extend their invitation to this occasion.
