I would like to take this opportunity to thank God who is my maker and creator. May all the honour and glory be to him for his amazing Grace and mercy. I would like to inform all Kenyans, friends and well-wishers who supported me that my Peace Mission in Kenya was a God-send and that everything went on well according to God’s plan.
During my Peace Mission, I visited Kuria, Kisii and Makueni counties to preach peace and I am so grateful to God for having enabled me to accomplish my mission and fulfilling his divine call. While in Kenya, I met many servants of God and all of us were speaking and reading from the same script. God has heard our Prayers as a Nation because despite all the hiccups in the tallying of results at Bomas following elections, Kenyans remained calm and peaceful. This is, no doubt, the work of God and Glory be to him.
I also thank God because through his servant, Prophet Owuor, he managed to convene a reconciliation and Prayer meeting of all the Presidential candidates at Uhuru park in the run up to the General election.
To all those good people who supported me, morally, spiritually and materially, may the Almighty God keep protecting you and may He continue giving you peace which surpasses human understanding. Thank you for supporting a noble course. Blessed are the peace makers for theirs is the Kingdom of God.
While in Kenya, my mum, Esther Wairimu Muirani, was elevated to Glory by her Maker on 18th February 2013. I am grateful to God for having given me three weeks which I spent with my mum at the hospital and at home. My peace mission to Kenya was God’s preparation for both myself and my late mum to have some quality time together before her departure.
To my fellow Christians, it’s good to heed the voice of God and obey it. Since October last year when my late mum was first admitted at Nairobi hospital, we, the Muirani family, has gone through a lot of challenges but I thank God who has always been on our side even at times when we felt we had nowhere else to turn to.
In this respect, I would like to thank all those who have always stood by us through thick and thin. God counts on the heart that gives and not the quantity. May God bless you all and reward you a hundred times.
Most importantly, I would like to thank my wife, Mrs. Mary Muirani, for her quick and wise decision to bring our children to Kenya in order to bury their grandmother. That initiative strengthened me abundantly and I will always be grateful to her for a work well done. I also thank all my friends in Stockholm who did all they could to assist in my absence and under difficult circumstances that presented themselves. God’s victory was on our side.
I would like to urge all Kenyans and genuine friends of Kenya, that we continue to pray for peace in our country because the enemy is not happy. What he had planned for our country to erupt in chaos and bloodshed did not work out. God has really thwarted his evil plans and all of us must thank God for his nobble work.
Finally, I congratulate President-elect , Hon. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and his Jubilee Coalition. I would like to urge him to adhere to and respect the Constitution of Kenya and to form an all-inclusive government in case he becomes President.
In the meantime, I also take this opportunity to request all Kenyans to be patient as the country awaits for the Supreme Court verdict following the filing of a Petition at the Supreme Court by Raila Amolo Odinga challenging the declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta as President-elect. Thank you and may God bless you all.
Samuel Muirani
