  1. Nyandarua County OCPD Jasper Ombati said the wife run away from their their master bedroom and with her husband in hot pursuit, she locked the stair-case door prompting Wanjiru to look for an an alternative way out.

Wanjiru proceeded to the balcony and jumped from the house about six meters down from the first floor of his palatial home to catch up with his wife.

Unfortunately he badly fell on the cemented floor and sustained serious head injuries.

According to the OCPD, officers who were called rushed him to Nyahururu District Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

  2. Why did Nduta stick around when Njeri found them in the bedroom? From her story, Njeri first met them in the living room. Wanjiru’s mum claims blood was cleaned from bedroom floor. The night watchman also claims not to have seen Nduta as Wanjiru drove into the compound. It is claimed he was pretty drank. How could he have driven all the way home? Anyway Kenya has no promille limits, probably that’s why his car rolled several times early this year.

There is a fishy side to this story. During their earlier publicly broadcast episodes, Njeri said she knew about other women Wanjiru had. Lately she claims he had never mentioned them.

  3. Cops should be investigating Wanjiru’s murder. His mother says Njeri knew all his secrets about money and investments. She suspects he was hit by a metal bar then tossed over the balcony. According to Jane Nduta:

Ms Nduta said the wife stormed out of the house again, only to return and find them in the master bedroom upstairs “sitting on the kingsize bed”.

“Njeri came in and took away the house keys and a padlock that was in the bedroom. She also grabbed a jug, poured the water out and attempted to hit me with it,” said Ms Nduta.

In self-defence, Ms Nduta said, she stood up and got hold of the jug, adding that Wanjiru was too drunk to protect himself.

In Nduta’s account, you can deduce that Wanjiru could not even have had the energy to lift himself up the balcony railing. Normally that distance can be jumped by a sober person and suffer fractures at most. He busted the back of his head. A keen jumper would break the fall using the feet, or fall on his face. He was a fit athlete who could have done well but for being too drunk. Falling flat on his back is just weird.

I guess nothing will be known about the true incident because Kenya doesn’t take suspected homicide cases seriously. Remember too that Nduta does not look teary-eyed on the video above or traumatized from the death of Wanjiru.

  4. Some Kenyan women are like leopards. You don’t see the claws and they look gentle and cuddly. You think you are asking them out Kumbe it is them that are asking you out… A mix of rural women and chips funga ended Wanjiru’s life. He was a big spender socially, so maybe Njeri just wanted her cut before it was finished by his scavenging barmaids.

  5. Njeri and Nduta plus the watchman might have killed Wanjiru then dumped his body over the balcony. There was a lot of money in the house which might have already disappeared. Sad. Pombe, women and money are a bad combination.

  6. Why was Mututho laws against alcohol not applied when poor Wanjiru was drinking the whole day then later drove home helpless.
