Concerned Kenyan
will i be wrong to think that Kikuyus are representing the 42major tribes in kenya?
Mukozewe, who ever you are those names are individuals not representation of Gikuyu tribe/community.
Unless you got a problem with the whole tribe.
I believe we got more heads than those, why choose those headed by Gikuyu.
What do you have against the Gikuyu community?
KSB: Can you quote where I am saying that those heads represent the Gikuyu community? The lists were sent by a reader under KSB’s “Reader Request” Program. The publication of reader’s requests happens all the time at KSB. Jokes, funny pictures, statements etc have been published here in the past. If you post me the non-Kikuyu heads and request that they be published, I will do so. It will be a more responsible way of countering the request by the “Concerned Kenyan” instead of firing shots in the direction of innocent Makozewe, the proverbial messenger. If there is a group of people I hate with passion, it is the ruling classes in control of the state machine misleading millions of Wakenya to follow them blindly even when they are perpetrating impunity. Once again, I have nothing against the Gikuyu community who are suffering alongside other communities so just relax and take a cup of tea. The ordinary Kikuyus are very hard working people.
Am saddened to read how Kikuyus have filled more jobs in public places, yet other tribes also have qualified people. However, it is good to confirm that Kibaki’s agenda is to place as many Kikuyu, Meru and Embu people into these positions as possible, because it is their time to eat.
Kibaki is a ruthless tribalist who has no interest in other non-GEMA members. His particular interest is to advance the financial interest of fellow rich Kikuyus and not the majority. All the so-called Muthaiga Golf Club members and the old money Kiambu Kikuyus who stole or benefitted during Kenyatta’s time, are the people he is favoring. The poor Kikuyus in IDP camps are not his problem and they can continue suffering.
It is therefore important for any Kikuyu who does not support the tribalization of Government jobs to see the listed names as Kibaki’s own agenda that does not favor all Kikuyus.
Why are the Kikuyus not supporting the IDPs through protests/demonstrations and challenges in court so that their Kikuyu President can resettle them? They were recently given dry and infertile land in Laikipia by a Kikuyu Minister called Esther Murugi, the useless woman who talks without thinking. They refused to take it and she told them there would be no more land then.
Why didn’t the Kikuyus protest when Michuki as the Internal Security Minister, used Government security to execute young Kikuyu men whom he claimed were Mungiki members? The report about these extra-judicial killings was written by Maina Kiai (a Kikuyu), yet the Kikuyu consider him a traitor because he questions the injustices by fellow rich and powerful Kikuyus in their community.
Kikuyus need to wake up and protest against their own filthy rich leaders who continuously exploiting them. Look at Uhuru leading Ruto to the Kikuyus to form a political alliance, yet Ruto is a highly suspected criminal behind the killings of hundreds of Kikuyus in the Rift Valley in 2008.
I have not read anywhere that Kikuyus are against the alliance of the two, probably amidst the silent protests of other unheard Kikuyus due to the unanswered questions behind the PEV, in a Kikuyu led Government.
I think despite the Kikuyus being the largest community in Kenya, they cannot stand to protest against their elite, who are not concerned with the poor. Instead, they are wasting time condemning the Luo for following Raila Odinga. Didn’t they recently crown Uhuru the Kikuyu King, with complete animal skin, spear and other regalia? The only thing he did not get was a circumciser’s knife, maybe meant for the Luo men. Now then, who is fooling who?
Uhuru is off to The Hague, and has hired some of the best and expensive white lawyers to defend him. Ruto has done the same, in addition to the local ones accompanying him.
At least Martha Karua dared Uhuru to give some of his massive land to the IDPs. Here in the Diaspora, I have not heard any Kikuyu claiming that Ruto is evil as was the big cry in 2008. No, the biggest devil is Raila Odinga, because he is a Luo and Luos are Kikuyus biggest enemy. This is laughable just because a small group of high salary earning Kikuyus called MPs, have been camping in Central Province to cheat the poor Kikuyus that Raila is their biggest headache. Why? Just because his name and that of Ocampo begin with an “O”, and he instructed him to charge Uhuru their tribal King, with sponsoring the Mungiki for revenge attacks among the Luo and other non-Kikuyus in Naivasha.
Ruto is today worshipped in Meru because he happens to be eloquent in presenting nonsense without any development agenda. Ruto is a ‘Njamba’ because he talks against the biggest devil called Raila, who is finishing the Meru King called Muthura. This is how the Kikuyus have been put into check by their leaders for many years: “The Njaruos are our biggest problem, so we must fight them away from the presidency by all means.”
Many of the poor and unemployed young Kikuyus are paid to listen to their Kikuyu MPs lies ahead of 2012, so that they remain charged and full of hatred for the Luo and Odinga in particular, yet they are never encouraged to study, or provided with development projects to uplift their lives. They believe Uhuru should be the next president, yet Raila is sending him away to a white man’s jail in Europe. Uhuru’s ratings must have shot through the roof with his weekly propaganda and lies.
Some Diaspora Kikuyus have already bought air tickets to join the audience of sympathizers who shall listen to The Hague proceedings live, when their tribal King Uhuru will be read his criminal charges. Good luck to the Kikuyu, but they also need to wake up from the drunkard’s lies (yes, Uhuru is a confirmed drunkard), because just like his father Jomo, he shall not bring significant changes among the GEMA, but will only use his presidency (if he is not jailed) to add himself more wealth like Kibaki, Michuki and other sons of the former home guards, who ate with the White man against the loss of the real Independence fighters, whose descendants are now living in IDP camps as internal refugees.
Osewe, KSB was right about Kikuyus dominating jobs in Kenya’s public service. Here’s a report about State House, the kikuyu Centre:
State House tops Kenya ethnicity list
State House tops the list of 10 government departments that have broken the law on State jobs.
The department employs 45.3 per cent of its staff from one ethnic group.
That represents 373 staff members at the department that is the official resident of President Kibaki.
Other ministries and departments that have more than a third of workers from a single group include Transport, Public Works, Tourism, Local Government, Higher Education and the Nairobi Metropolitan.
The National Cohesion and Integration Act requires that no ethnic group should constitute more than a third of the staff in any ministry or government department.
But the audit of Kenya’s civil service ethnic composition revealed that nine ministries and departments are close to breaching the law.
They include the ministries of Water and Irrigation, Cooperatives, Energy, Finance, State Law Office and Roads. Others are Labour, Livestock and the Environment.
The report says 22 ministries and departments have at least 25 per cent of their staff from one ethnic group.
They include the Public Service Commission, the Cabinet Office and the ministries of Education, Information and Planning.
Eight departments and ministries have 20 per cent of staff coming from one community, including Immigration, Public Service and Fisheries.

KSB: When the List was first published here, Sam Pippo said KSB was “anti-Kikuyu”. Now, the critics have vanished.

National Cohesion and Integration Commission chairman Mzalendo Kibunjia. NCIC released a report on ethnicity in the civil service that shows five communities account for 70 per cent of government jobs April 6, 2011.DENNIS OKEYO

Kenya is facing a crisis of tribalism after the first ethnic audit of the civil service revealed that the five big communities occupy nearly 70 percent of all government jobs.
The survey undertaken by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) gave shocking details of how political patronage and personality-based leadership had reduced the civil service into an exclusive club of the big communities at the expense of the so called small communities.
According to the survey, members of the Kikuyu, Kalenjin, Luhya, Kamba and Luo communities occupy 70 per cent of all jobs in the civil service.
The Kikuyu lead the pack with 22.3 per cent of all civil service jobs, followed by the Kalenjin (16.7 per cent), Luhya (11.3 per cent), Kamba (9.7 per cent), Luo (9.0 per cent) and Kisii (6.8 per cent).
The so-called small communities are at the tail end of the survey, with over twenty having less than one per cent of their population in the civil service. In fact, seven of them have less than 100 members in the civil service each.
Among those communities who have less than one per cent of their populations in the civil service include the Teso (0.9 per cent), Samburu (0.6 per cent), Pokomo (0.6 per cent), Kuria (0.5 per cent), and Mbeere (0.5 per cent) among others.
The audit reveals that the Kikuyu constitute the largest single dominant ethnic group in all ministries and departments, with the exception of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Police and Prisons departments.
The PM’s office is dominated by the Luo community, the audit reveals. The Kalenjin are the second largest group in the civil service and dominate the Prisons and the Police departments.
According to NCIC chairman, Mzalendo Kibunjia, the Kikuyu and the Kalenjin comprise close to 40 per cent of the entire civil service.
“Their numbers in the Civil Service suggest a direct relationship with the tenure of the Presidency, in that they have both had a member as president for over 20 years,” he said during the release of the report Wednesday.
Mr Kibunjia urged President Kibaki and head of the Civil Service Francis Muthaura to move with speed and reshuffle staff in government departments to reflect Kenyan ethnic diversity.
The skewed recruitment into the civil service cuts across all job groups including those that do not require high educational qualifications.
For instance, the seven big communities account for over 80 percent jobs in the lowest job groups A-D. The communities include Kikuyu (20.41 per cent), Kalenjin (13.78 per cent), Luhya (11.67 per cent), Luo (11.03 per cent), Kamba (10.18 per cent), Kisii (8.42 per cent) and Meru (5.26 per cent).
The audit also reveals that the Kikuyu and the Kalenjin have a greater share of jobs in the civil service than their populations.
Whereas the Kikuyu constitute 17.7 per cent of the Kenyan population, they occupy 22.3 per cent of the civil service jobs. The Kalenjin on the other hand occupy 16.7 per cent of all civil service jobs despite constituting only 13.3 per cent of the population.
The Meru also occupy 5.9 per cent of all civil service jobs despite constituting 4.4 per cent of the country’s population, followed by the Kisii who occupy 6.8 per cent of all jobs despite constituting 5.9 per cent of the population.

It is a fallacy carried too far, There are many Dictators in Kenya both in Public and Private Sector. For example , Nation Media Group is one of the biggest Media Firms in East and Central Africa. For over 15 years , Wilfred Kiboro was the unfettered Dictator in this media house. He reffered to himself as “Chief” and God help any staffer who called him different. With his cronies like Denis Aluanga , Maina Mugugu and James Kinyua, and to ensure that he was not branded a tribalist others like Richard Wanjalla and Sam Shollei, he would exploit the media vehicles to hide his corrupt ways.Ask Mutegi Njau a now very successful Journalist at Citizen TV who kiboro frustrated to leave .He will tell you how Kiboro acquired his Subukia farm and how he moved heaven and earth to cover an investigative story about how this former Government land was allocated to Kiboro for a song YET he now wants to present himself as a philanthropist and ethical leader.Shame on you Mr. Kiboro. And what do you have to say about Njoki Kaigai your lover? .Fatuma your wife knows all about his sexual escapes but how can she destroy her social status by releasing suc a scandal!!
