  1. KK alliance is gone. No sane Kikuyu will work with Uhuru to get Ruto in power. It is an alliance of two young thieves who are power hungry. Am happy that WikiLeaks is giving it raw.

  2. Why has Mr. Odinga apparently failed to bring about political and economic reforms? Well, it’s because he is not in control of the government. Consider this: The PM suspends two ministers (Ongeri and Ruto) because of high corruption in their dockets, and within 4 hours the president reinsatates them. And the reinstatement stands, showing clearly who’s in charge.

Why, you wonder, why would the president do that? Your guess is as good as mine. If that suspension had been allowed to stand, it would have heralded an new era of fightng corruption from the near-top where it resides.

Mr. Odinga is obviously trying. The Kenyan President however does not seem to care about anything. I’m yet to see any attempt by the President to ease the slowly rising tension in the country. The Kenyan problem is purely and squarely a question of poor leadership on the president’s part.

  3. It is a real pity that political turfwar has handicapped a country with huge development potentials, much to the chagrin of its population. Kenya should be governed by women, not men because, knowing Kenyan women, they will always try to ensure that the house is in peace and that every body has food to eat. Who will forget that they recently went on sex strike to teach the men a lesson. May be with their innovative ways, they can put the house in order.

  4. Who are the Kikuyu?

Land scarcity is the leitmotif of the Kikuyu, the historic source of their anguish and the motivating force behind their success story. Accounting for around 22 percent of Kenya’s population of 38 million, the Kikuyu’s mark on the East African nation has been far greater than the figures imply, thanks to that driving hunger.

Under Kenya’s first president, Jomo Kenyatta, another kinsman, they streamed out of Central Province, settling in the Rift Valley and on the coast. Today, they dominate the economy. Kikuyus drive most of Kenya’s and its taxis, run its newspapers, and constitute much of its civil service, their entrepreneurial reach extending from the glitziest of hotels to the remotest roadside(kiosk).

They also, joke Kikuyus, account for the biggest share of the country’s criminals and prison inmates. They hail themselves as “the Jews of Kenya,” envied and hated in equal measure for that entrepreneurial zeal. But there’s a difference: Europe’s Jews never combined economic influence with political power. The Kikuyu have done just that, providing two of Kenya’s three presidents. And their current predicament can be traced to that double-fisted grip on the nation-state and the resentment it stirs among their compatriots.

  6. Reports circulating in Nairobi is that Uhurus mother Mam a ngina & Beth Mugo arte suffering from Diarrhear (Mharo) since the Ocampåo six were issued with summons to report to hague courts and Answerr their human rights criminal charges!

  7. As for Kibaki’s arm of government, the more they try to rescue the Ocampo Six, the more they deepen the hole they are in. Unless Kibaki is fighting to forestall his own inclusion into the case, it is time to count government losses and quit the futile war.

Regarding those who are still praying for the miraculous presidencies of Uhuru and Ruto, the game is over. Those who ride to power on the back of the tiger of negative ethnicity must end up in its belly.
