Mr. Daniel Mwaura, former Chairperson of Narc-Kenya Scandinavia who is vying for a seat as a Councillor in Stockholm in the September 19th Swedish elections, has told KSB that his Facebook account has been hacked by unknown people.
The Kenyan politician said that hackers are sending abusive messages to his Facebook contacts who have been very disturbed by the messages thinking that they were emanating from him. He said that he could not understand how the hacking was done and by who although he suspected his political enemies whom, he said, are out to sabotage him.
“I would like to inform all my contacts and supporters that it is not me sending the messages”, he told KSB. He added that he was constantly receiving phone calls from contacts as far away as the United States who are wondering what may have happened to him to precipitate the sending of such messages.
Some of the messages include pornographic pictures and obscene video clips while others are very insultive to his contacts in Facebook. The problem of Facebook accounts being hacked and hijacked is common although this is the first time that a Kenya-Stockholmer has reported a case. KSB sympathizes with Mwaura and hopes that he will soon be able to sort out the problem with Facebook administrators.
