KSB has just recieved a message from jaluo.com to help following a new attack on Kenyans in Diaspora in the Daily Nation. The attack (by Robert at the end of the below article) is the latest.
COWARDLY ACTS – Kenyans in the ‘diaspora’
An article by Clay Muganda as appearing on page 4 of the Daily Nation’s “Weekend” magazine of Friday, 21st March 2008 (reproduced verbatim):

There is little they do not know, and they never lose an opportunity to remind Kenyans at home that they are with “it” -whatever it is. These are the Kenyans in the Diaspora – the self-appointed “law enforcement officers” who check on the excesses of those of at home.
Whenever there is a natural disaster in Kenya, and as usual, the GOK is slow in dealing with its effects, they are the first to tell us how things are done in the countries where they have taken refuge.
I insist on “refuge” because if they were as patriotic as they claim and knowledgeable about the ways of the world, they wouuldn’t be “assisting” through the mail.
During the last elections, they were steadfast in buying space in local newspapers to tell us what they liked and hated. Labelling themselves as professionals, they had all sorts of “advice” on governance.
But their tribal footprints were all over the internet, all in the name of patriotism. With their
much-touted knowledge, they forgot that, as somebody once said, patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
When the chaos erupted – and you can even say they had a hand in it through their inflammatory advertisements – they went silent. Those of them who were on “holiday” boarded the first flight (economy class of course) to the Diaspora – or wherever else they have replaced dish-washing machines. Cowards!
If they are such professionals as they claim, how come none of them had any solution to the post-election crisis? Now that some “foreigners” have done the dirty work for us, Kenyans in the Dias-Wherever will start “advising” us again. Methinks they should stick to their “patriotic” duty of working their body parts and sending money back home. They can keep their lofty ideas about governance to themselves.

Attack from Robert in Kenya
Looking by the response emitting from this blog most are from the dias-wherever! There are hundreds of thousands of people living in kenya who have been and lived abroad BUT opted back, Clay & Myself included (we were in the same cha-mbele country). By the way most of these bloggers think Clay is a “she” shows how out of touch they are about kenya. I have studied/worked in US & UK its all rubbish! The heart of the matter is most went out there to study then satayed too long and became dinasours to compete in the kenya job market. The only people i respected are the ones who left kenya ALREADY proffesionals the rest just shut up!
Just because you send your relatives back here some money doesnt make you demigods…most of you went abroad through harambees or your parents sweated for you to be where you are right now…and now that you are sending money back to them you feel bullish about it! They invested in you just like any body can invest in shares bwana..only thing that you are blood.
A lot of “foreign-kenyans” left when things flared up in kenya…why?
They had no mak’ende to help or what? Their opnionated advice tried up before sunset!
Robert
Mkenya in Kenya
Unfortunately or fortunately, there is some truth in what is written here however sad this may sound. This may also open the eyes of the younger generation to abandoned the brooms for education and return to build Kenya. Metro of last week showed stats that 8 of 10 cleaners in Stockholm are foreigners! Just a thought with no hard feelings.
Bwana Robert what i can tell you is UTAKANYUIREIRE NDOI KARI RITA. aSK YOUR GIKUYU GLAND MA OR PA WHAT THAT MEAN. u DONT KNOW HOW MANY ARE DYING TO GO TO EUROPE OR CHAMBELE AS YOU CALL IT. HAVE A NICE DAY
Mr. Mkenya in Kenya !
It looks like you are very bitter ! are you in financial problems ? some of us earn more than two ministers back home
and we dont steal from our own people !
so try stealing because the way you sound, this is your ambition ! to get in position and last possesion !
I feel sorry for you, I guess you were deported !
Poor you

Isn’t this article by Muganda obsolete? Talk of flogging a dying horse. They need to move on at jaluo.com, or could they missed the three year old article and just woken up? Kitendawili? Tega! Empty debes do what?
KSB: You are missing the action: You are talking about the Muganda article while the focus is on Roberts’s. In any case, this article has never been at KSB unless u can fetch it from the archives. Back 2U.
kenyans abroad sometimes its better to accept when theres some truth on the above article.I live abroad to and its true many kenyans give advices, make alot of noise about a country they left long time ago. Some of them have never gone back, have changed their citizenship and have no right to advise, dictate or order coz they are preaching something they cant help.On the other hand i dont support the article about how we support ourselves coz at the end of the day its the means that justifies the end lets try as much as we can to contribute positively to build kenya and pliz we should all take critism positively and not personal.Lets have agree to disagree but in a mature way thats what makes a mature nation and a people
As for me,i think the fellow has hit some “sores”,there is some truth i what he expressed concerning Kenyans in the diaspora”we are and we will always be partisan when it comes to Kenyan politics and other intrests….full stop!!!hakuna cha nationality anymore…Kenyatta tried, the wellfare system worked 90%during his tenure. Now we are inn the dogs for a long time to come…….unlesss!?¤#
The man is right. Kenyans in Stockholm are have no career and proper jobs. Useless people. Bure kabisa
Robert. it does not matter what you think because at the end of the day if the “Diasporans” don’t bother u why shud u be bothered about what they do? Remittances from the Diaspora to Kenya exceed donor funding(charity ya mzungu)and I must confess that thru taking care of the elderly I earn as much as a local Kenyan MP, so waht is the problem? I cud not afford university fees in Kenya though I qualified my high school exams and had to raise money to come to Europe. It is the end that justifies the means because <i don't depend on you yet I have dan so much and haeve ecstra to give to the poor in my villAHGE. Am in London and don't think of coming home to depend on anyone because people pay rent into my account in Kenya which is used by my family that I have removed from poverty.I was a makanga (matatu tout) anmd if I had remained inKenya I wud not be at this level ecobnomically.I still struggle with English yet I am accepted inLondon because I work so hard and my clientys trust me. WaXCHA UJINGA na tujenge Kenya wherever we are!!
@ Ongola, talk of yourself; If you are one of the useless Kenya-Stockholmer’s, talk about yourself, not all of us have no career and proper jobs. Besides having travelled around the world much i think most Kenyans abroad live the way most kenya stockholmers do if not worse. There is quite a number of us who are very hard working and have legitimate jobs within the swedish society. I must say for many the society is very hard to penetrate but there are a handfull of us that has done that hence have a pretty diginfied jobs/life in the lands of the maswedes. So please dont waste your time bringing down people; You should know that human beings will never be equal however hard we try, in life the will always be greater persons and lesser persons than one’s self. That’s the way life goes!!!!!!!!
What about you Mr. Ongola makoha ?
Idhi kanyo ?? Mabel ??
