  1. Hi ,
Its been so long in the works.I did watch it some time last year.I did not approve of some of the deliberate implications and more so the negative import it carries with it.The documentary leaves out the fundamental questions that still abound within the hiv/aids environment. These are so sensitive that its better not to begin debating them in public.
Thanks for putting this up Osewe ,good info ,its to be noted that hiv/aids is even more rampant within “communities” and nationals in the diaspora than is being accepted .This l say with confidence as some one who has been trying to break the gridlock over the negative potrayal of immigrants in Sweden. The producers a well placed to be objective but choose instead to rely on time tested misleading stastisical data to give the public fodder for biased judgement,as such entrenching the stigma against hiv/aids.
    Thanks Odera

KSB: Well said Tonny. These issues must be raised.

  2. I am also one of the”fortunate”viewer” of citizen oketch. The docufilm was gut wretching, to see so much human hoplesnes experienced by the kibera poeple and abject poverty beyond normal basic human habitat requirements. The film was obviously one sided because it poignantly portrayed only maladic poverty beyond human comprehesion, whereas kenyas gap of socioeconomical structures are there to be compared and not portrayed as in the docufilm. The biasness of the film makers is citicised well by O.Osewe.,I am still speechless by the kind of stereo types the western media can be but again i admire their resilience in achieving their objectives,i summise by saying that alot of issues should be raised, debated and dicused concerning the critics expressed by O.Osewe and Odera.

  3. Osewe, thanks for putting this up. Having watched the film, I have nothing to add. You are a brilliant son of Kenya. Keep up the good work.

  4. My question to all of you is: Why pretend that we are all living an amazing, cool and fantastic life simply because we live in Sweden? I also wonder if you have been to any of the slums before, because if you have then you will understand what Citizen Oketch is portraying. Lets not just critise for the sake of doing it, but instead lets all take action to changing the violation of human rights that too many of our kenyans are undergoing.
    Advice to you also:
Kindly act towards this issues that the slum people are undergoing, rather than to sit comfortably and critise while people are trying to bring into light what is really happening.
