At a glance, she is a very innocent girl. She could easily pass for any other African lady walking in the streets of Stockholm and at 27, she is young, energetic, out-going and focused on the future. In reality, she is a Kenyan millionaire in Stockholm and, according to reports from agents, she is real.
When KSB got feelers that a Kenyan lady had been conned 400,000 kr in Stockholm, we were skeptical, just like any other innocent bystander. But that was before the details could be examined. It turned out that the she had actually been conned a whooping 900,000 kr which is huge by any stretch of the imagination.
Her name is Babz and when KSB eventually managed to track her down for a talk at a posh Stockholm restaurant, it was “all expenses paid”. The story had gotten a “Breaking news” profile at KSB and it was hot so we suspended all activity to find out. Readers were calling to get upfront information and we had to do something. That is when the saga began to unfold.
Babz was in Kenya married within a rich white family which is one of the families which owns Kenya. The family owns vast pieces of land especially within the “white highlands” while it is known to be ruthless and deadly. A grandson within the family is currently facing a court case in Kenya after shooting a Kenyan dead because the poor guy was hunting on the family’s grounds. It was the second deadly shooting of a Kenyan by the grandson. Both shootings were reported in the Kenyan media.
As she enjoyed life in her matrimonial home, tragedy struck. Babz’s husband contracted cancer which killed him. The whole family was struck with grief but beside the mourning, one issue remained unresolved. What was to be done with Barbz, now that her hubby had passed away?
The answer could have been easy had Babz’s husband not left her property. The nice hubby left his property to be inherited by his wife and this is what happened. Unfortunately, the white family was not happy because it was property worth a huge amount of money. According to estimates, Babz was left behind with property worth a million US Dollars. This was over 70 million Kenyan shillings and this is where the millionaire story in Babz’s profile begins.
Apart from having inherited millions in Kenyan shillings, Babz is no ordinary Kenyan girl. Her uncle is currently a top Cabinet Minister in the Coalition government. Because of circumstances and “rules of engagement” he will not be named.
Falling in Love
After the death of her husband, Babz entered into crisis because the white settler family was not amused with the fact that their son had left behind property worth a million dollars to a native. A conflict of interest began to play itself around the inheritance arrangement and it did not take long before Barbz noticed that her life was in grave danger because she was not reaching any agreement with the family.
As danger continued to loom, she became scared and eventually fled the white home stead. She abandoned the property because from her point of view, the money was not worth her life. In any case, her reasoning was that she came into the family with nothing so why should she walk away with millions especially if the matter was looking like a matter of life and death issue?
Her walking away did not however, change the economic situation because despite her departure, the property was still in her name. The settler family is ruthless and her fear was that something nasty could happen to her because of the huge amount of money that was at her disposal. Leaving the property alone to be taken care of by the settlers gave her some solace and the opportunity to begin a new life away from the family even if she didn’t have the money.
It was at this point that her life began to change. She left the family alone to do as they pleased. She moved at her parent’s place to take it easy. But something new happened. She had a friend who was sympathetic with her situation. She looked very lonely, having lost her husband and abandoned her property.
The friend advised her that instead of living a gloomy life, she needed to get active and look for a new partner. It was this friend who introduced her to “Internet dating”. She became active and one day, she hooked up with a man in Sweden through Face Book. The guy looked innocent and besides, he was a Pastor in Stockholm, a perfect combination.
The communication introduced her to a new world. The guy was a sweet talker. Suddenly, emails began to take center stage, sometimes interrupted with long phone calls. Punde si punde, webcams took over as communication became dependent on high technology. With time, Babz fell in love with the Pastor and it is at this point that matters also began to take a very interesting twist.
The Pastor appears to have fallen in love and as communication intensified, the question which began to linger was whether Babz could travel to Sweden to join her lover. However, there was one problem because the Pastor could not invite her to Sweden.
New Life in Stockholm
His Passport had been seized by the American government because he was not paying child support in the United States. He was divorced but not following the rules. Babz’s plans of travelling hit a snag because apart from the Pastor’s Passport having been seized by the US government, another big problem was that the Pastor was not in a position to invite her to Sweden because the Pastor did not qualify.
Through her thinking, Babz realized that she could go around the visa hitch somehow. She wired up a relative in Norway who invited her and through this move, she got a visa. She was determined to join her new lover against all odds and this required imagination.
The guy sounded genuine, cool, reasonable, collected, organized, innocent, holy and, most importantly, full of plans for the future. For her, it was a dream come true after her husband had passed away following a deadly disease she could not control.
Following the death of her husband, she had been lonely and miserable and the fight over property made things even worse. Now that she had abandoned the fight over property and gotten a new man who was promising, things were set to change.
In a dramatic turn of events, Babz’s new Internet boyfriend bought her a ticket to travel to Sweden so that she could join him. Although the visa was issued under the guise of her travelling to Norway to visit her relative, the hidden agenda was that she was set to join her lover in Stockholm and that is what happened.
Babz landed in Stockholm to begin a new life with the Pastor and things were cozy. Two lovers from different parts of the world had been united through the Internet and sky was the limit. To be continued in Part 2.
Okoth Osewe
this sounds unbelievable. there are so many gaps but again a person on the way to disaster is like a blind and deaf person.
Babz needs all the sympathy on earth and hope that with time, the pastor will be punished for his sins. He should be jailed for life and the key thrown in the sea so that he doesn’t get free at all.
The pastor should be called “The Devil” because he has traumatized an innocent Kenyan woman who was in love with him, hoping that he could fulfill his part of their dreams.
I condemn him for his evil deeds and hope that he gets punished for this.
If she is connected to a cabinet minister in Kenya, I was just wondering why her uncle couldn’t help her???? There is always two sides of a coin…. it would be nice to hear the Pastor’s side.
I hope the truth and justice will prevail!

KSB: We hope that the trial begins soon so that we can hear from the horse’s mouth. It is also the ambition of KSB that justice prevails, both for Berbz and the Pastor. Justice should also prevail for KSB on the right to write about the saga.
