A Seminar entitled “What Has Happened In Kenya after Elections” will be held in Stockholm on Wednesday 20th August 2008 at the offices of Forum Syd (address Katarinavägen 20 – tube Slussen). The Seminar runs between 15.00-17.00.
Among key speakers will be Luz Baastrap, Deputy Director of Diakinia Church based in Nairobi and Camilla Redner, Program Assistant for Human Rights and Democracy at the Swedish Embassy in Nairobi.
During the Seminar, a picture of the political crisis in Kenya following the December election will be rendered while discussions will also focus on how this crisis influenced the Civil society to react.
According to the coordinator, Susanna Elmberger, there will be possibilities for discussions and exchange of experiences during the Seminar. Those wishing to attend have to register in advance by sending mail to: Susanna-elmberger@forumsyd.org.
