Controversial Kenyan Genge Hip Hop Artist Nonini will be in Stockholm to entertain Wakenya at Vällingby on Saturday 27th October – courtesy of the newly formed Leta Mleto Entertainment group. The treat will be the third of its kind among Wakenya following entertainment some times back by Mr. Nice and Nazizi, all of whom have a fun base in Stockholm.
Nonini is known for explicit sexual lyrics which have, at times, ruffled the feathers of parents in Kenya who believe that Nonini’s music “spoils children’s morals”.
His most controversial songs are “Manzi wa Nairobi” and “We Kamu”. In Manzi wa Nairobi, the Rapper celebrates the prowess of the “Nairobi girl” and wonders if he could manage the situation if the beef wrapped in the tight jeans is suddenly unwrapped.
In another suggestive line, he wonders whether the tight jeans will prevent him from “getting there”. The video of the song is even more graphic with young little girls shaking their bums liberally as Nonini unleashes his lyrics.
In “We Kamu”, Nonini encourages his male listeners to telephone their girlfriends to come home then he says that the lady will have to strip off her pants as soon as she arrives at the door. In the video of the song, it is Nonini’s trouser that is stripped down at the door-way by a lady as soon as the Artist opens the door for her to come in.
The interpretation here could be diverse although one could be led to think that the lady pulls down the trouser because she understands that the mission of the day is connected to pant-stripping.
In another scene of the “We Kamu” video, a lady nestling on Nonini’s lap is seen pulling down the front zip of her “shorter than short” jeans skirt, almost exposing the shrub of hair leading to her shrine before the scene is cut off abruptly, just on time before the colour of her pants are exposed.
Nonini then irritates parents even further by sending greetings to “Mama na Baba” (Mother and Father) of a young little lassie already lying expectantly on his bed getting ready for whatever is in your head! He had earlier in the song said that the meat will be eaten Kavu Kavu (could mean without condoms or anything depending on how you think) and advised the lady to “come alone” because he is not interested in her friends.
Parents of young girls who are exposed to Noni’s music went wild in Kenya, something that pleased the Artist because this was evidence that “people are listening” to his music otherwise why should there be an uproar?
Nonini will be performing at “Trappan” located at vällingby centrum from 22 hrs until “late”. The scene will be opened by Wawesh based in Göteborg and entrance is 200 kr. Mark your Calender!
