  1. this news is driving me up the roof… tells you how much of a responsibility a community has in general.. because when something of this nature happens, everybody feels the responsibility and guilt in a way or the other..
and experienced a number of this bizarre incidents during my stay in Sweden… this one is just out of proportion.. and being too far away from home doesn’t make it any easier

  2. This is really tragedy ,when a devil (lucifer)The Satan enters your homestead this is what happens!
My prayers are with the small innocent children !
May GOD THE ALMIGHTY TAKE THEIR SOUL!

    RIP

  3. Interesting when one writes about another person, yet got into a whole share of freely acquired shiet a few seasons ago. Sink into the same thick fat you poured in the sufuria. Get the mole out of your eye before talking about others. It’s not about the community, but personal wrong choices. A sheep clad in a wolf’s thick “winter jacket” is equal to nyoka…. Confusion tupu!!

  4. the danger of claiming to be saved from the sins of Stockholm. Innocent kids murdered in cold blood by a mother so twisted mentally, yet claimed to praise the Lord God, dancing and wriggling around calling the name of Jesus. Hypocrite!!!

  5. Shocking news! Where were those sweet Kenyan mamas who go to church with her? Didn’t they notice any signs?

  6. “Yes Apostle Karanja was trully a blessing..n i know..i,ll maintain my salvation…God is great he has done mighty things in my life even when i had lost hope he uplifted me..n gave me all that i needed..that,s why i praise n worship his name now n forever…Amen”

Today, the lady who wrote the above words at KSB in 2009, is in custody for suspicion of one of the most henious crimes on earth; murder.

  7. niseme nini kwani nimetishwa na habari hii.huwezi kujuwa mwanzako anasumbuliwa na mambo mpaka vituko vitokee.

  8. calm waters flow deeper.really shocking.who’d have thought! Four years of nursing, only to brutally end a tender life. Bringing a child from Kenya only to end up choking his dear young life.Sweden offers a safety net¨through the social welfare, so what went wrong? The suspected lady has a string of friends and seemed composed aorund her kids. Worshipping might be a sham in Sweden.

  9. EiiiisshshshEE! Was it worth it? The police cell is lonely and depressing – worse than real life depression. tHis is before the real prison life after one is found guilty.

  10. Why is’nt the police working on a possibility that the crime could have been inflicted to the kids by someone else other than the mother? After all this society is’nt 100% friendly to people of colour. May be someone else saw a windor of opportunity, that is if the kids were there that late without their parents. It’s been summer and kids like to run around and play late, apparently most parents allow this. Lets not judge this sister of ours until proven guilty beyound any reasonable doubt. My heart pours for the kids so so much. And to the mum i hope in God’s name you did not commit this cruel crime……………..

  11. It has become a habit and a culture to kill aimlessly in Kenya Parents are sacrificing their children for money hence being manipurated by (Religious Cults)and the love of Money >watch this Video >Killings has become Kenyas daily free-Movies>

  12. unbelievable! why not take the kids to the social office instead of subjecting them to such a hideous act? Depression? Take a pill called mkebe which is much beta than isolating oneself in parayers. R.I.P young boys!

  13. Mother held for killing sons, 4 and 8
    Published: 19 Sep 11 15:52 CET

The mother of two boys, aged four and eight-years-old, who were found dead on Monday in a lake near Sigtuna north of Stockholm after going missing on Sunday night, is being held by police on suspicion of murder.

“A family member has been arrested on suspicion of murder. This is a tragic family situation,” police spokesperson Stefan Marcopoulos told the TT news agency.

According to the Aftonbladet newspaper, it is the boys’ mother who is being held in connection with their deaths.

The brothers were found in the water near a dock, and their clothes were also discovered nearby.

The boys’ father reported the disappearance late Sunday evening, and police initiated a comprehensive search and rescue with sniffer dogs, helicopter and divers.

The boys were reportedly down by the water’s edge near Munkholmen in Sigtuna.

While their clothes were found early in the search, their bodies weren’t located until Monday afternoon.

Speaking with Aftonbladet, Marcopoulos explained that it remains unclear whether or not the boys were alone near the water or whether they had been accompanied by their mother.

“Interviews are underway with both the boys’ mother and father,” he told the newspaper.

According to police, the boys bodies show signs of injuries indicating that a crime was committed.

  14. The police are not stupid. Why wud a four year old be by the lake at night? When suspicious death occurs, it’s normally a family member who is held for questioning.in this case, it is the mother because the kids lived with her.Logically, a four year old would not be by the water in this cold autumn because the summer is long gone.If the mother is innocent, she will be released. But I can bet she is the culprit.

  15. WHY DO WOMEN KILL THEIR OWN CHILDREN?
    Posted on April 20, 2009 by halfpint42592

The legal system treats a mother who has killed someone elses child as a sociopathic killer, yet shows mercy for a mother who kills her own. The reason for this is: it is easier to convict when harm has been done to someone elses property.

A study was performed in 2002 and the results showed that children under the age of 5 were more likely to be killed by their own parents than a sex crazed outside predator. According to the FBI statistics: Parents were responsible for 57% of the deaths of their children in 1999. Family friends and acquaintances accounted for 30% while other family members accounted for 8%.

According to Michelle Oberman who conducted part of this study : “MURDERING MOTHERS ARE JUST DIFFERENT” The media finds them to be newsworthy, while a father who kills is viewed as an ordinary killer.

The following reasons of why a mother kills are what is concluded after years of research:

    ◦THE CHILD IS UNWANTED
    ◦OUT OF MERCY
◦AS A RESULT OF MENTAL ILLNESS
    ◦RETALIATION AGAINST A SPOUSE
    ◦AS A RESULT OF ABUSE
    ◦TO PUNISH THEMSELVES
◦TO “ERASE” IN ORDER TO PERSUE A RELATIONSHIP
◦ANGRY AT THEMSELVES OR TO DESTROY WHAT THEY HAVE CREATED.

What I did find interesting is that in the cases studied, almost all of the mothers disposed of their children in a “womb like” fashion. They either swaddled them, submerged them in water or wrapped them tightly in plastic.

The National Center For Missing and Exploited Children stated that most children killed by their mothers were always found close to home, while a child killed by the father is generally hundreds of miles away.

The last concluded reason I found for women killing their children is: WOMEN STILL BELIEVE THEY HAVE SOLE DOMINATION OVER SO LITTLE “PROPERTY”, THAT THE DESTRUCTION AND CONTROL OF SOMETHING THAT IS IN FACT THEIR “PROPERTY” SENDS A POWERFUL MESSAGE ABOUT WHO IS REALLY IN CHARGE…

  16. people shouldn’t be so quick to judge, I pray for justice that’s all i can say
    may the kids RIP

KSB: From the text under reference, where is the judgement? This sister remains innocent until proven guilty. People are simply airing their views which is acceptable.

  17. so sad that the two sweet boys r no longer. RIP Elias n Tevin. Have pple considered that the mum might be mentally unstable b4 lashing out on her. I dont condone in any way the murder of her two innocent children if at all she did it, but maybe the way she behaved before was a cry for help. Why didnt the social find out about the childrens welfare if the school had reported their not going to school. The society failed those boys n we as kenyans r part of it.

  18. It was a sad story. I am sure the innocent kids are in the hands of God. The person who needs help is the mother. I concur with those who say that she could have been underdoing some mental problems. R.I.P young ones.

  19. Mother denies killing two young sons
    Published: 20 Sep 11 16:24 CET

A mother held on suspicion of killing her two young sons, whose lifeless bodies were recovered from a lake in Sigtuna north of Stockholm on Monday, has denied committing the crime.

The 30-year-old woman’s lawyer, Eva Möller, confirmed for the TT agency that her client is currently being held on suspicion of having killed the two boys.

“I don’t want to comment further on her mental state. But she has just lost two children,” said Möller, who added that she met with her client Monday evening following her arrest.

“At that time they had held a short interview where she was informed of the suspicions against her. No additional interrogations were held after that and no more are planned.”

The woman was allegedly down near the shoreline with the two boys, ages 4 and 8, on Sunday night when something happened.

“She said that she heard a thud when they were down by the water and that suddenly, the boys were gone,” the father of the 4-year-old told the Aftonbladet newspaper.

He said he received a call from his ex-partner on Sunday night in which she said that “something unpleasant and strange” had happened to the children.

The father rushed from his home in southern Stockholm to Sigtuna where he found the boys’ mother in a state of shock.

“It was like talking to an empty hole,” he said.

The suspected mother also participated in the early search for the boys, who were first reported missing around 10pm on Sunday evening.

Police intensified their search on Monday morning after conversations with people in the area led them to believe that a crime had been committed.

The boys’ mother was arrested shortly before 11am as police made additional observations that strengthened suspicions that the boys didn’t disappear willingly.

The first boy’s body was recovered around 12.30pm on Monday. A short time later, divers located the body of the other boy.

Autopsies will be performed on the bodies of the two boys later in the week, according to police spokesperson Stefan Marcopolus.

He also expected the boys’ mother to be questioned further.

“The woman will be interviewed again in the coming days, but no time has yet been set,” Marcopolus told TT.

Police investigators are reluctant to release many details of their investigation, which is in an early and sensitive phase.

However, police are hoping to make contact with witnesses who may have been nearby the Munkholm bathing area in Sigtuna between 6pm and midnight on Sunday evening.

“The witnesses we’ve interviewed so far have strengthened our suspicions that a crime was committed,” said Marcopolus.

According to neighbours, the habits of the woman and her two boys changed drastically about a month ago.

“The blinds were suddenly pulled down and the children disappeared from the playground,” a neighbour told Aftonbladet.

The 4-year-old’s father also told of receiving a call from his son’s daycare inquiring as to the boy’s whereabouts.

“They asked what had happened to the boy since he hadn’t been back since the end of summer vacation,” he said.

The father was unable to reach the boy’s mother to discuss the matter.

“In retrospect, I think I should have contacted the police sooner,” he said.

  20. where were those friends who partied with the suspected mom when she because violent verbally? Today they assembled at T-Centralen to honor the departed boys, but couldn’t they see that the woman was unusual? There should be no collective blame for Kenya-Stockholm becuase many people did not know the woman. Many friends in Kenya-Stockholm are just there for gossip and partying.
