It is almost a week since the family of Sven Gunnar Hjorth buried a loved family member to eternally rest in peace. On behalf of the family, Sven would hereby like to send heartfelt gratitude to everybody who supported the family following the untimely departure of his brother.
Specifically, Sven would like to thank all those who called, sent SMS or sent condolences through KSB during the family’s very trying moment. “We were very much grateful to everybody”, Sven told KSB.
Sven, who is an accomplished academic and married to a Kenyan lady, is a well known personality within the Kenyan community. Sven (together with family) has contributed in many ways towards furthering the interests of members of the Kenyan community in Stockholm.
In the past, he has contributed in funds drives, consoled families during grief, attended birthday and other parties while he has also been an active member of the St Klara Church Swahili congregation. Sven’s brother passed away at St Göran Hospital following a long illness. The brother was buried at Upplandväsby in Stockholm city.
