  • Shocking to say the least. But without an efficient judiciary, what can the citizens do?

  • wazee wakubwa are not supporting the youth to improve their living standards

  • shoking..!!!! and heartbreaking…….surely to burn someone and watch them die is worse than stealing potatoes, i wonder if the one who struck the match sleeps soundly at night.

  • The person to be responsible is our leaders who does not creat jobs for young men. The Government of impunity. You can read my facebook Notes of July 6,2011 about the Plain Truth in the Kikuyu tribe and Kenyans Societies.

  • OMG! This is so heart breaking, so evil, so inhuman just because of stealing potatoes! what happened to humanity? Watching this video made me sick instantly, could’nt finish watching it, let me with tones of questions……….Those murderers should be held countable. This is bad hata kama ni njaa ndiyo ina uma watu, please what happened to the kenyan judiciary system? No emergency number to dial, no police to intervine! Kweli Kenya is sinking.

  • We need to chane our ways to understand that it is our inept government’s failure to address the issue of poverty eradication that pushes these poor felows to steal i order to make ends meet. Subjecting them to this shocking and despicable treatment for only a sack of potatoes just shows how low we have sunk as a nation. The criminal act of killing these men in a cruel way is an act of savagery, and my and many other right thinking people’s worries is that these mobs may continue meting the same savagery on others in cases of mistaken identity. There are renewed hopes in provision of justice with the ongoing reforms in the judiciary…….why don’t we give the new guys a chance. I would’nt want to show any non Kenyan this video footage. This is totally outrageous!

  • omg whyy, whyy is my race soo cruel? whyy? Please God forgive them ūüė•

  • Some of us seem to have been swallowed into the secure nature of life in the Diaspora and have forgotten the realities facing many in Kenya. Think about the trader whose sack of potatoes was forcefully taken by the two young men and the only way was to shout “THIEF” to get public help. Reporting petty theft to the police is a waste of time because they will not help. Mob justice or lynching has been in Kenya for many years and the difference is that we are now able to see photos of such because of the available social media. Why is Nairobi called Nairoberry? Because of rampant theft that is delivered with unbelievable efficiency. Kenyan thieves are among the most ruthless and will maim or kill for a piece of jewellery, a pair of shoes, a mobile phone or one’s wallet. When one considers the losses innocent people undergo due to Kenyan thieves, then in the absence of a fair and efficient judiciary, Wananchi have to find local solutions.

  • Thieves will always come back after bribing their way out of the useless Kenyan courts. In many parts of Central Kenya, thieves control social life and people live in constant terror.Lyching looks crude but it happens in many parts of Africa as a deterring factor. Thieves will never stop doing their thing, so the citizens must also feel secure given that the Government has failed to provide an efficient prosecution system.

  • Jag kan inte sova efter jag s√§tt denna video.
Hoppas att dom straffas. Det finns ingen rättvisa för fattiga
    som stj√§l potatis f√∂r att dom √§r hungriga. …..

    Chockad

KSB: Välkomen till våra Kenya!! Rättvisa är bara ett ord.

  • TO ALLY AND KELLY: i can’t believe you are trying to justify what this people just did to that man!! Stealing is wrong that i agree on but to kille a person is wrong no matter what they did. the only one who has the right to take a life is GOD (who i’m sure u believe in). how are we africans going to grow if we keep doing this primitive, heartless behavious?? what are we teaching our children? (burn mr. Momando’s child if u see her stealing an aple?) is that what we are teaching our children?!

the man has already been beaten seriously, what is lightning that fire and killing him gonna do. there is poverty everywhere in africa and many people end up stealing, should we burn them all? because believe me if we do that not many people will be left in Africa!!! I’m not looking for a fight here but this is outragous. NOTHING CAN JUSTIFY THIS!!! NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO BURN AND KILL ANOTHER HUMMAN BEING.

the beating the gave him would have thought him a lesson i’m sure. Burning that man didn’t bring the potatoes back. and when thier children see that, they’ll start doing thesame. The fact that we are all poor and have seen povaty should help us understand each other an our actions, not burn each other to death.

Like i say i’m not looking for a fight. I just hope that God our father can forgive them and don’t punish thier childrens childrens childrens…

  • hall: that was my personal opinion, and it stays so. You might not be aware of how Kenyan thieves behave.

  • Robber who broke into hair salon is beaten by its black-belt owner and kept as a sex slave for three days… fed only Viagra –

A Russian man who tried to rob a hair salon ended up as the victim when the female shop owner overpowered him, tied him up naked and then used him as a sex slave for three days.

Viktor Jasinski, 32, admitted to police that he had gone to the salon in Meshchovsk, Russia, with the intention of robbing it. But the tables were turned dramatically when he found himself overcome by owner Olga Zajac, 28, who happened to be a black belt in karate. She allegedly floored the would-be robber with a single kick.

Then, in a scene reminiscent of Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, police say Zajac dragged the semi-conscious Jasinski to a back room of the salon and tied him up with a hair dryer cable.
She allegedly stripped him naked and, for the next three days, used him as a sex slave to ‘teach him a lesson’ – force feeding him Viagra to keep the lesson going.

The would-be robber was eventually released, with Zajak saying he had learned his lesson.
Jasinski went straight to the police and told them of his back-room ordeal, saying that he had been held hostage, handcuffed naked to a radiator, and fed nothing but Viagra.

    Both have now been arrested.

When police arrived to question Zahjac, she said: ‘What a bastard. Yes, we had sex a couple of times. But I bought him new jeans, gave him food and even gave him 1,000 roubles when he left.”

  • Kenya is a harsh place and sometimes very barbaric but then why are there so many Christians heading off to mass every Sunday if, when the whim takes them, they beat a man to death with a shovel for stealing so little

Where is the compassion? It’s not very Christian

Innocent people are being lynched not only in Malaba but also in Nairobi. Mob justice is absolutely unethical in African society so why does it continue?

Change can only come when the administrators adhere to and respect the law..Kenya has a long way to go in this repect

The judiciary system, just as other government departments, are riddled with corruption and it is not surprising that people have taken the law in their own hands

Having witnessed firsthand “mob justice” in Kenya, I absolutely condemn this barbaric act which is due to the incapability of the Kenya Police and high level of corruption which sees many criminals walk free after small handouts forcing the public to take the law in their own hands.

I don’t believe that Kenyans are bloodthirsty and enjoy killing their compatriots but the justice system here just doesn’t seem to work, leaving people with no other option but to take the law into their own hands.

Many law enforcers have failed to deliver and people have to live with the fear that they are not well protected. In other cases law enforcers have forged alliances with criminals and this has reduced the confidence that people have in them. It’s time kenyans reviewed the way their law enforcers work, and maybe give them enough resources.

Otherwise many more people will get killed on mere suspicion of having committed a crime.

  • Hall, you are either not a Kenyan or if you are, must be blind to what thieves do there. I hope the other videos posted here have given you a wider picture.Meanwhile, Kenyan thieves will maim or kill you as you pray for mercy while they steal from you. They don’t care even if you are a minister. Martha Karua the former Justice Minister, was once carjacked just like former Trade Minister Mukhisa Kituyi, during President Kibaki’s first term. Many high ranking Kenyans have also had their children kidnapped or harmed by such people. Poor Kenyans live with criminals around them and face their brutality daily, so must resort to local solutions.

  • Savages. And you wonder why we don’t want you in Europe. Stay in Africa. Kill each other. Have sex with goats and monkeys and contract AIDS.

  • Sune that was superb .But kenyans living here gonna teach you all their technicalities eg; burning witch,Mobjustice ,Lynching and to bribe and corrupt the system !Arent you happy to learn something different from your failing shit-pit Nazi Ideology.

Hospital Horror: Rat chews off lawyer’s toes while he was admitted in it

    Written By:bizarrenews, Posted: Tue, Aug 09, 2011

Much to their relief, the bones of his feet were found to be intact, but the muscle in the last two toes had been chewed into.
Rodent makes a meal of two toes of 70-yr-old Pratap Sawant, who was, ironically, admitted at the hospital to regain sensation in his legs

In a shocking reversal of the natural sequence of events, two toes on 70-year-old advocate Pratap Sawant’s right foot was allegedly chewed off by a rat not before, but after he was admitted to St George hospital.

The rodent attack came, quite unexpectedly, at the hospital’s nursing zone, which is often touted as its VIP zone, in which many of the city’s high-flying politicians and administrative officials have been treated.

The Jogeshwari resident’s surgery was scheduled for August 8, and he had admitted himself to the nursing home last Tuesday.

Sawant’s original ailments were an enlarged prostate and diabetic neuropathy. The debilitating effects of the neuropathy have weakened his nerves, leading him to lose sensation in his legs.

In a situation loaded with irony, the man who had turned to the hospital to regain use of his legs, woke up on Wednesday morning to find two toes on his right leg bitten and bleeding.

“As soon as Sawant brought the matter to the notice of the attending nurses, doctors rushed to Sawant’s bedside.

Much to their relief, the bones of his feet were found to be intact, but the muscle in the last two toes had been chewed into.

Although the wounds suggest that Sawant’s toes have been gnawed off by rats, hospital authorities are reluctant to admit it,” said a hospital doctor, on the condition of anonymity.

    Hesitant

When MiD DAY visited the hospital yesterday, a hesitant Sawant said, “My operation is due on Monday. If the doctors are enraged with me, I might get into trouble.

I will speak to you, but only after my operation is over.”

Sanjay Gurav, member of the hospital’s Visitors’ Committee, said, “Rats have become a menacing presence in the hospital.

When my daughter was admitted to the hospital, the food that was given to her would often bear signs of having been nibbled by rats.

I had even lodged a complaint with the Maharashtra Human Rights Commission (MHRC) for the same. He further added, “A little while back, a rat had leapt onto the bed of one of the patients.
It is time for the hospital to upgrade its hygiene standards.”

Even a week ago, patients of the 300-bed hospital had expressed their concern over the dirty stench that was emanating from the premises. A total of 15 rats were found when the drains were being cleaned.

    ‘Rat’E chart

St George, being a public hospital, offers free beds for patients. Those who express willingness to be admitted to the nursing unit are asked to pay an initial deposit of Rs 1,000, after which they are charged Rs 500 per day for air conditioned rooms for the first week since admission.

If the hospital stay runs into its second week, then charges double up to Rs 1,000 per day. Non air-conditioned rooms cost Rs 150 per day.

A VIP suite in the nursing unit of St George hospital costs just Rs 500 per day, and is usually reserved for IAS officials, MPs and MLAs. Governors of various states and other political leaders have received treatment at the nursing unit in St George.

    Rodent free-for-all

In February 2010, the MHRC issued a notice to the management of St George hospital, asking its officials to appear before it after one Sanjay Gurav, a member of the hospital’s Visitors’ Committee, lodged a complaint against the hospital about rats running amuck in the ward.

Gurav had admitted his 11-year-old daughter Sayali at the hospital’s nursing home department after she fractured her right leg, but was appalled to find dozens of rats scurrying about the premises and inside the room. Sayali claimed that the rats ate up her fruits and biscuits.

    The Other Side

DR Kulkarni, medical superintendent at St George hospital, said, “The patient has complained to us about the injury, and we cannot rule out the possibility of a rat bite. However, the incident took place at night, and there are no witnesses for the event. He woke up to find that his foot was bleeding.”

  • this whole thing is hilarious. why? cuz mankind will always be corrupt and greedy no matter what anyone does. there is no hope for us and while you all sit there in your air conditioned rooms and comment on videos like this and say its wrong or right yada yada, even more ppl are being burned alive for something or for nothing. I cant wait till WW3. we can finally finish the job we started since our the begining of our existence… Our extinction.

  • Does the burning justify the theft? That is why I will never go back to that primitive country. Even terrorists are more merciful. If I had the power, I would burn the whole village and teach those primitive people a lesson!!!! And to think that they are all christians. They should all burn in hell!

  • patrick the blackest and ugliest kenyapithecus

you guys are justifying the lynching of `suspects` by killing. there is no justification for retributive or deterrent homicide. the rationale is faulty to the core. why does the government build prisons, employ probation officers , social workers , counselors, homes for the destitute and orphans if the same society does not acknowledge there existence of this trained personnel and institutions of socialization and kills its own offenders. crime is inherently linked with personality disorder, dysfunctional social systems, economic slump, unemployment and other variables. we seem to be a society that has lost its marbles and believe that regressing to the stone age is an easier route. i have been mugged in tom mboya street and i recommend better ways to deal with petty crime.you will kill the criminal but not necessarily route out the vice. the vice is only the fruit of deeper problems . plucking the fruit does not necessarily mean that the tree has died out.

  • Kibaki’s failed government that breeds helpless youths. Kibaki is off to Othaya leaving behind a broke country through h√≠s chief Treasury thief, Uhuru Kenyatta.

  • I will never have compassion for thieves no matter what. I hate them with the whole of my heart for the harm and hurt they cause to innocent hardworking people. They have the energy to steal they could utilise that energy for income generating activities. My only worry is that of mistaken identity for that can be really sad. May God forbid

  • Too much failure by government who don’t bother about youths

  • Africa, an entire continent I would never visit.

  • We all c wild life, in kenya and the kenyan government.gets revnues.but if this
